ABSTRACT
Literature is the amalgamation of imagination and reality. It tries to portray reality of the human life and existence. It endeavors to find solutions to the universal questions related with human being and those solutions carry certain human experiences .In Bengal, Mahasweta Devi has voiced and represented the trials and tribulations of the downtrodden tribal. In some short stories, she has profoundly portrayed the haunting experiences of Dalit women, the plight of her survival. She also reveals the dark face of so-called civilized society through a narration of the untold sufferings of a tribal woman. As a social activist, she has spent many years crusading for the rights of Dalit. Since Mahasweta is an obsessive activist and writing come to her as an instrument in her battle against exploitation, and marginalization of tribal.

In the personal narrative, From Benath by Rawan Yaghi, she writes about her first time experiencing a bombing while living in the Gaza strip a Palestinian territory that experiences violence due to the war between Isreal and Palestine.

Sonia is an exceptional student when it comes to academics. She is very hardworking and will put in all her effort for everything she does. She has always had a great passion for science and finds her way to get involved in any science event. For example, last year she participated in the Alameda County Science Fair, and received fourth place for her experiment. Born to Bengali parents in July 1967,in London and with her family’s move to Rhode Island, Jhumpa Lahiri began life in the U.S.A. She grew up in the background of traditional Bengali culture. From childhood, she often accompanied her back to India-particularly to Calcutta (now known as Kolkata).. She observes that her parents retain a sense of emotional exile and she herself grew up with conflicting expectations. In her work, Lahiri, is a second-generation immigrant, reflects on the Indian diaspora and creates a narrative that reveals the inconsistency of the concept of identity and cultural difference in the space of diapora.
Ashoka Maurya, commonly known as Ashoka and Ashoka The Great was an Indian emperor of the Mauryan Dynasty who ruled over most of the Indian subcontinent from 268 to 232 BCE. In about 260 BCE, Ashoka waged a bitterly destructive war against the state of Kalinga, although he was triumphant in the battle, the victory cost the lives of 200,000 people. (Document A) Soon after, he realized his mistakes and strived to spread pacifism and friendship throughout India.
Ashoka had many great strategies to claim land. Ashoka lived a royal because he ruled many people and had many great things. He had many violence wars that helped Ashoka out because he got lot’s of land and took lot’s of people for his army to fight. Was Ashoka a ruthless conqueror or enlightened ruler? Ashoka was an enlightened ruler because of two reasons: he out thinked the others and promoted a strong empire.
A person only has one first impression. This does not mean that the person is who they seem to be. The story behind their body art shows their personality and who they are. What led them to choose the outfit they are wearing or why they chose to dye their hair also factors into this. A person is also defined by what they say but especially by what they have permanently on their body.
Throughout Tina Rosenberg’s Necessary Angels, the unforgiving and deprived lifestyle of rural Indian women reveals the inexorable reality and fragilities of gender roles amongst women in labor. As a result, many of these unfortunate women barely cling to life due to a trickle-down effect that far surpasses their capabilities and intentions. Fortuitously, an effort to not only impugn this rooted problem, but to resolve this plague has been met head on with a few brave individuals, mostly being women. Man is known as a social animal which needs some home, love of parents and friends and relatives. But when he is unhoused, he loses the sense of belongingness and thus suffers from a sense of insecurity or identity crisis. In the field of Indian English Literature, feminist or woman centered approach is the major development that deals with the experience and situation of women from the feminist consciousness.
Women in Mahabharata and Today’s Society Literature reflects the norms, condition, and culture of a society, and when it comes to “The Mahabharata”, an epic which is said to be a collection of stories taken over a certain period, certainly reflects the then society to a great extent. Generally, the authorship of “The Mahabharata (The Stories of the Descendants of Bharata)” is attributed to sage Vyasa. However, it was composed over many years and today’s Mahabharata is an edition of many a men. According to Monier Williams, “it is not one poem, but a compilation of many poems, not a Kavya by one author, but an Itihasa by many authors (Draupadi of Mahabharat: History of Women Empowerment, 230).” Many attempts has been taken till date to reveal the composition period of this epic and history behind it as it is granted as one of the most important scriptures from the view of World History which can give us more clear ideas of ancient Indian society.
In this sense, they have histories and like everything which is historical, they undergo a transformation. “Far from being eternally fixed in some essentialised past, they are subject to the continuous 'play' of history, culture and power” (225). Lahiri’s concentration is on the frustration between the future and past relates to the Hall’s ideas of being and becoming. Although immigrants have changed their identities, yet they are connected to their past lives. By changing their names or cultural roots they are still uncomfortable with their past.
Introduction In India, discriminatory attitude towards men and women have existed for generations and thus it affect the lives of both genders. Although the constitution of India has granted men and women equal rights, but gender gap still remains. Female discrimination violates human rights. These are mostly seen in family land sharing among sisters and brothers.
