You get just as many days off at a year-round school as you would at a traditional school, just at a year-round school, it’s spreaded out through the year rather than all in one big break (The Pros and Cons of Year-Round School). Short breaks gives time for kids to have a better education and avoids kids getting too board over the long break. Yeah, you wouldn’t get to have 3 week vacations, but who does? Some kids say that they get a break right when they need it and it’s refreshing to them and they’re ready to listen (The Pros and Cons of Year-Round School). It would be easier for them to pick up where they left
It provides an opportunity for extra rest and a less stressful environment. It also provides an opportunity for extra week days at an after-school-job, engaging in volunteer activities or pursuing additional goals. Students who are the member in a group organizations or athletes wouldn 't miss much class and have less work to make up when events occur on a day off. Teachers are just as susceptible to burning out as their students and since so many teachers achieve tenure, there is no simple way to root out teachers whose performance has slipped. By decreasing the teachers’ workload, students are able to receive an improved education without even having to change schools.
I think schools should last all year long making three things very helpful for students. First, I thing school should last all year long teachers should give students writing suggestions for the next year. For example before some schools did not have any activities or future vision or development are schools. Second, I think school should give gifts to students that go to school all year long. There are students that can give gifts honoring.
(“Year-round education: Is summer vacation over... forever?”). This is significant because a great deal of children that had summer vacations before year round schooling have lost it because of year round schooling. Another piece of evidence would be that people are losing educate that they get in summer. 71 percent of adults not just including parents state that kids get educate from lessons during the months of summer by pursuing, working, athletics, or attending camp (“Year-round education: Is summer vacation
(Weller 3). This is a problem because it takes away quality family time from students, which is essential for their well-being. Thirdly, a second benefit is that the year-round schooling system helps solve the problem of overcrowding. (Zubrzycki 1). Since all students wouldn 't be in school all at the same time, it eliminates the overcrowding problem.
One reason why there shouldn’t be year round school is because kids need a break from school. Summer gives kids a break off their brains. A longer summer would let kids do what they want and time on there own. Lots of kids have to get up really early for school and so when it’s summer they can sleep in and make up for all of the time that they had to get up early for. They can’t make up all the days of getting up early in 2-3 weeks
Year-round school offers shorter breaks more often rather than a summer off once a year. This causes students to forget material learned more quickly, whereas students who attend school consistently for months acquire knowledge more effectively. Just as students would begin to learn and catch on, another break would occur in which they would forget what they learned.
Kids learn all day and almost all year, give or take a few months. I believe they deserve a break, even if it for just a half an hour. Kids just need some fun sometimes, and if that means watching some TV. It might not be educational, but it something that they enjoy and should be allowed to do. If it means giving up an hour of studying, then I think that it is
This time is called summer vacation. For years, kids have been exposed to a school model that involves roughly one hundred and eighty days of school, with several small breaks during school and a large break at the end. Summer is a time for children to play, have fun, and be kids. Without this summer break, kids might be susceptible to large amounts of stress due to the amount of days in the school year. Summer is also a good time for kids to participate
Most students enjoy summer vacation, but some educators feel that the summer break is too long and that students do not retain information as easily when they return in the fall. Some people argue that there should be year-round schools, where there would be a 3–4 week break in the summer, a longer winter break, and a week off in the spring and fall. Does this sound like a good idea to you? Why or why not? Take a position on the issue.
