On Friday night, the annual Ely TIgers vs. DIllard Panthers football game was played. On the last play of the 4th quarter, Donnell Wilson made a touchdown pass that won the game. Although some say that the catch was not that great, I think it was due to the fact that he passed his defensive back, leaped to make the catch, and scored the winning touchdown.
The phrase, the Golden Age of pro football, is somewhat inaccurate. It should have been called the Golden Age of Offense. Especially gilded in the 1950s were quarterbacks with big arms, gutty leaders, field generals who take-charge in the huddle. They called their own games, and generally speaking, drove a team to victory or loss with the strength of their arms.
Superheroes of today and mythological characters inspire us to be “our better selves.” because, of the there heroism and courageous acts. For example, they inspire us to save lives and help other people. The texts says from “into the Maze of Doom” ““You can’t change my mind it is my duty to save our people”(pg14) Also, ““.......I will slay the beast so the no other must die……..Let me do this, father. For Athens”(pg15) This piece of text evidence shows that scine Theseus is helping people and saving lives and doing it for his city and the people living in it, that inspires us and makes us want to do the same thing and help people around us and possibly save lives as well. In the essay “What’s With These Guys?” by Kristen Lewis the text states ““They risk their own lives to protect the innocent and
In 1903, Theodore Roosevelt’s son, Ted, made the second football team at Harvard University, instead of the varsity team. The Eighty Yard Run by Irwin Shaw is about two main characters, Christian Darling who it a college running back who plays at Midwestern University and his girlfriend Louise Tucker, who also goes to the same college. This short story starts with a description of a run that was made during a practice but he is recreating it in his mind to make it seem like it was in a game. He is recreating the entire play 15 years later while sitting on the same practice field that it had originally happened. In this story Christian wants to go back to time where everything was a simple as just playing football, being with his girlfriend, and going to school. Irwin Shaw seems to portray that you should not but all your eggs into one basket like Christian does with football.
The Ely Tigers versed the Dillard Panthers. They had an instant win at the end of their football game. They don’t know if it was a lucky catch or if it was a skilled catch. From reading through all of these documents from the story, they proved that Donnell Wilson caught the winning touchdown because it was a clean catch, didn’t have a penalty, and he caught it across the touchdown line.
While Pat Boone’s cover of “Ain’t That a Shame” (1955), originally performed by Fats Domino, has many similarities to the original, there are a few differences that alter the song and arguably its meaning. Although the two versions have nearly the same rhythm, harmony, and form; the groove, vocal delivery, and a subtle lyric change make the two versions of the song quite distinct. Because of these differences, the Fats Domino version of the song has a much more easygoing and optimistic vibe than the Pat Boone cover, which seemingly puts more emphasis on the heartbreak described in the lyrics. Additionally, the alterations Pat Boone made to the original song allows him to appeal more to a white, conservative audience. Despite Pat Boone putting

This was the second time I had taken the strengths finder assessment and like my previous results I receive competition as my top strength. Early January, I’m watching the AFC wild card playoff game, the Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburg Steelers are going down to the wire. With under thirty seconds to play and the Steelers down just one point, they are invading into the Bengals territory. On First and ten, the Pittsburg quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger drops back to throw. Antonio Brown, the Steelers star wide receiver and one of the league leaders in receiving yards starts his route. After running vertical for ten yards, he makes a hard cut towards the middle of the field to get free from the Cincinnati cornerback. Ben sees him and throws a strike to his open receiver, the ball sails over Brown’s head just out of reach of the diving corner. Vontaze Burfict, a 250 pound Cincinnati
