What are your thoughts on James Brown as an artist and pop music icon? I feel that James Brown has most definitely earned his place as a pop music icon.
This gave him recognition. Eminem 's alter ego, “Slim Shady” was a sensation, with his records on the top billboard, He was creating a new sound but mostly, hip-hop was evolving. Intro: In recent years, rap music gradually accepted by people, especially the youth. In all types of rap, West Coast Rap and East Coast Rap are the most distinctive styles. They had an important impact on future generations. It is thought that rap could date back to the time when the black music appeared. Until the 1970s rap formally established his own style, in which the main credit should be attributed to the popular disco DJ who mixed black funk with popular rhythms.
Consistency Tupac was a very flexible artist, but yet he was all ways consistent in his visions in life and also what he had to do in order accomplish his goals. Tupac always believed in himself and never collaborated with any other famous rappers at the time, he only collaborated with his friends and group “OUTLAW IMORTALS”. He remained consistent in what he did and remained consistent in the artist he was continually pushed the cover in regards to thoughtful topics, up to such a degree that he wanted to be governmentally active in the United States of America.
He is giving hope for a long, prosperous, fulfilling life to the man who succeeded, overcoming the hardships, breaking through “concrete”. “When no one else cared” (line 8), describes how the lack of care from others did not prove to bring hindrance to his success. He kept pushing through the hard times even when there was no one to help him and when no one else cared. He was able to succeed alone, through determination, by keeping his dreams in
My favorite genre of music is Hip-Hop/Rap, R&B, & Neo Soul. Rap is one of my all time favorite genres, and I love it all. From the dirtiest lyrics to those promoting peace, this music is apart of my culture. Even though rap music is my favorite genre; my favorite song does not fall under the rap category. The song “Computer Love” by Zapp & Rodger is a song that I will forever love.
This conveys the message because it speaks truth to how Shakur never got unhappy with himself while struggling through life in the ghetto even without the help of peers and family. The speaker talked about how the rose was able to overcome adversity in order to get where it wanted to be, and no matter what the rose was given it solved its problems by itself and “the rose… grew from concrete when no one else cared” (8/9). This quote demonstrates to the reader that without help of others the rose with devotion and will power was able to conquer its dreams. The ideology of battling through hard times and conquering dreams is a common practice that still rings true to this day. Shakurs poem, The Rose that Grew from Concrete is a story about how the rose, a symbol of Shakur, and the concrete, a symbol of hardship can be overcome with perseverance and dedication.

I think that listening about how some of these artists came from nothing and now they are so successful is so interesting. I think that hip-hop has had a huge effect on pop culture today and it has become very hard for young people to stray away from it because it can be found everywhere in society. These artists are being looked at as icons now and that does not seem to be changing for a long time to come. The types of images that are accepted in hip-hop are the ones that make you look as tough as you possibly can be. If you display a soft side at all you are frowned upon by society so it is very important for these artists to keep their tough guy image on them at all

Aspiring Rapper: J.Cole “I always feel like there are two key ingredients when it comes to following your dreams, one, making something happen that the average person deems difficult. Cole is no exception and since his debut in 2011, he has become one of today’s greatest rappers.
Tiller reminiscing over a past love is something all his fans can appreciate. He continues his melodious singing until “Ten Nine Fourteen” when he switches up his sound to a rap flow that does not disappoint hip hop fans. He touches on his come up in the song, and causes listeners to get up and feel motivated. He continues this feeling of motivation with his rapping until “Sorry Not Sorry” which combines his rapping and singing better than almost all of his other songs.
