The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundations is the largest philanthropic organization. The organization is involved in healthcare operations. For instance, in the control of tuberculosis and HIV spread. Due to the rise in the number of malaria and polio patients, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation participates in the control of these diseases by setting up strategies that will eradicate these deadly menaces that have caused the deaths of many individuals. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was launched in 2000 by its founders, Bill and Melinda Gates. This will enable an ease of access of resources. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is involved in community-based programs that are aimed at reducing extreme poverty. The foundation comprises of three trustees. The trustees include Warren Buffet, and Bill and Melinda Gates (Mathiesen, 2017). All the three trustees are based in the United States. However, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation funds non-governmental organizations that pursue similar tasks as the foundation. For instance, the foundations fund some non-governmental organizations based in Africa and Asia. In its course to eradicate poverty in communities, the foundation educates individuals to invest in new business opportunities and for farmers to adopt new farming technologies ("GFO Home," 2017). The headquarters of the Bill and Melinda Gates are based in Seattle, Washington in the United States of America. In founding the foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates wanted to create a conducive environment for all citizens regardless of race, country and religious affiliations.
