In 2017, American football fans witnessed what many sports commentators are already calling the greatest Super Bowl ever in Super Bowl LI. Super Bowl LI can be logically argued why it was the greatest Super Bowl to date. In fifty Super Bowls, Super Bowl LI was the first to go to overtime. In addition, the Patriots statistically executed the greatest comeback of all time in Super Bowl history by twenty-five points, scoring nineteen of those points in the fourth quarter. The more intriguing records set in Super Bowl LI were the offensive statistics by both teams.
His size was very helpful, weighing 232 pounds and standing at 6.2 feet. By his fifth season as a fullback, he had already beaten the team record of most scored touchdowns in a season. He also received the award of rookie of the year. Brown was named football back of the decade of 1950-1960 and was voted onto every All-Pro team between 1958 and 1965. Brown ran for 114 yards against Baltimore in the 1964 NFL championship.
Out of this incredible game I witnessed the most emotional moment of the night was when my favorite player received his 5th championship and his 4th MVP award, also no quarterback has ever won five championship
As a freshman Ean had never played goalie, previously playing as a defensemen. Our program was in need of a goalie and Ean being the natural leader he is stepped up to fill the role as a freshman. This is where as a coaching staff we discovered our future goaltender for the next four years. From the first day Ean was the hardest working young man on the field.
He even has awards named after him. When Payton was enrolled at Jackson State he won multiple awards like Black College Player of the year award two times. He was also selected to the All-American team his freshman year. His senior season he finished 3rd in the heisman voting (best college football player in division 1). This year for midget’s I won 2nd team all-star starting quarterback. The first reason why football is the best career for me is that it means so much to me. Also, it means so much to me because I’ve made so many new friends and memories with my coaches and teammates.
Look up his brothers Tavon Gatlin and Dejor Simmons, some say Tavon was the best athlete outside of Percy Harvin to ever be from the Virginia Beach, Virginia area. Dejor Simmons, Dual athlete, and was breaking state records left and right. That is not the the only top athletes that run in this young mans bloodline. Tim Tebow is acknowledged by many as the greatest player in the history of college football, after being traded by the Denver Broncs in 2010 his number fifteen has become the league’s highest selling jersey. After Denver Broncs traded Tebow to the New York Jets in early 2012, Tebow continued to be featured in sports media. The most popular shows on television from Saturday Night Live, to Jimmy Fallon has featured Tebow and his religious gestures. In Tebow’s eyes, his success comes from God as it says in John 3:16, “For God so loved the world he gave his one and only begotten son, that whoever believe’s in him will not perish but have everlasting life.”
This will certainly result in that player being let go, traded or put on third or fourth string. On the other hand, a quarter back, safety, or running back that continues to work hard on their craft could become the next Tom Brady, or the next Adrian Peterson, someone who is known to be working hard. For example, when Tom Brady was in the NFL combine he had one of the slowest 40’s in that year, but look at him know, arguably one of the best quarter backs in the league. Adrian Peterson is also a good example of a hard working person. His yardage for his entire career is over 11,000 yards in only nine years.
But Jim Bob Cooter has stuck with the Lions even though they are not the best team out there. Jim Bob Cooter has done many things to help the Lions franchise grow and win more than they had before, and for that he should get recognized more than he does. So many people in sports start out small and get bigger and bigger as they are playing whatever sport they are. After all of the tough times Jim Bob Cooter has been through to make it to the great league that is the NFL. He is really a great person who has made it to the top but does not get enough credit for what the Lions have
