I have chosen Biology as my major of choice because of my interest in biology classes in the past. Throughout my high school career, I have tried taking a wide variety of classes in order to truly understand what my passion is. After taking a wide variety of classes, I discovered that I was deeply intrigued by subjects involving biology and medicine. I am looking to go to school as a biology major, however, I think I would like to further my education in medical school so that I can pursue a career in medicine. In my family, there is a multitude of people currently working in the medical field including my parents. After seeing their abilities, and thereafter my brother, I soon began to develop an interest as well. After developing this interest, I signed up for volunteering at my local hospital. When I look forward to my life in thirty years, I can see myself working in a hospital. I think that this is important to be able to see. In the future, I would like to become a medical assistant. This career seems to be a perfect match for me because I have been an EMT for 16 years. I have always had a passion for helping people in their time of need, ever since I was a little kid. I would be the person out on the playground trying to help others, when they got hurt. Why I major in Veterinarian Technology Some people go to college knowing exactly what they want, others do not have a clue. On the average students change their majors three or more times before they graduate. Since I am in undecided person, selecting a major was a difficult decision to make. Before I attended college as a freshman, I wanted to figure out which career fits me the most and would give me passion every day. Most of my life I have loved and cared for different kind of animals, as well as devoting myself wholeheartedly to their well-being.
I have always wanted to help people and to help them better their lives, but I never could figure out how I could make that passion a reality, until the day I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety at age eleven. After that rough period in life, I learned how I could help other people. I could listen to them and try to help them better understand themselves. Life is much easier for a person when they have people who believe in them like a psychologist or therapist. My college plan would be to earn a bachelor, and master degree in Psychology to become a Behavior Analyst.
I want to be part of such a rewarding career. I feel that the subjects I have studied have provided me with a good foundation of skills and knowledge that I will use on a daily basis as Occupational therapist. My Future Career, Nurse Practitioner A nurse practitioner is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing. When I was little I always said I wanted to become a nurse practitioner. It was something about being able to help patients overcome their illnesses that interested me the most.
The career that I have decided I would like to have one day is as a veterinarian. I really enjoy and care for animals and love to help them. I have some pets of my own and help them when they need it. I really like science and math and think this job is perfect for me. Being a vet involves a lot of mathematics.
There are two engineering careers that interest me, biomedical or civil engineering. I know they may seem completely different, but due to the fact I take some classes in the engineering field, and some in the medical field, I still have not decided which way to go. A biomedical engineer creates equipment, devices, computer systems, and software used in healthcare, while a civil engineer designs, builds and supervises construction projects such as bridges, buildings, airports, and many more. A biomedical engineer focuses a lot on bringing knowledge to create, design and evaluate biomedical equipment.
When I complete all of my schoolings I would like to become a behavioral disorder counselor. This career is for me because I love helping people, I want to help people better understand themselves so they can overcome their problems, and the human brain and the thought process has always been a huge interest to me. Is has always been a goal in my life to be somewhere in the healthcare field working, and this is the area that intrigues me and always keeps me interested. As of right now, my future plans are to finish high school, graduate college with a doctorate in behavioral psychology, and then further on to work as a counselor in a private practice.
Since my desired major is in the medical field, Radiology, which is a practice that will continue to be used in the future, I’m confident in obtaining a job in that field of study when I graduate from college. When I was growing up, multiple people questioned me about my future career, and others even pressured me into certain careers. All the influences I have had over time have formed my idea of the perfect occupation, that fits my personality and interests. The careers I have based my future life plans are a pharmacist or a certified registered nurse anesthetist. Both of these careers require a great deal of school and hard work. My decision of these careers was influenced by both of them being within the medical field, and also both focus on helping people.
The tiny humans, who advocates for them when they are ill? Who stands up for them when no adult is around to speak for them? A pediatric surgeons job is not only to treat their patient's illness but to advocate for the children who are too small to stand up for themselves.
