2.1 Biodiversity Biodiversity is often defined as variation of life at all levels of biological components includes diversity within species, among species and comparative diversity among ecosystems (10). It is divided into three levels as follow (11): 1. Genetic diversity – a variety of genes within species, both among separate population and individuals within single population. 2. Species diversity – a variety of organism in ecosystem 3. Ecosystem diversity - variability of habitat and level of organizations with the variation of ecosystem on the earth.
2.2 Bird Diversity A Guide to the Birds of Thailand (12) has indicated the finding of 915 species of bird in 1990 of which 2 species, White eyed–river Martin (Pseudochelidon sirintarae) and Deignan’s Martin (Stachyris rodolphei) are endemic in Thailand (13). The publication has also suggested that 62 additional bird species may be found in the future since these species have already been recorded in neighbor countries. The prediction made in the book is proved that it is

The flying capability is very beneficial to them as an advantage more than other vertebrates. While other animals need to encounter with the difficulty to survive in the environment which are not suitable .When the environment and the habitat are not suitable for living and reproduction, other animals encounter with the difficulty to survive in such environment, while birds can find new and more suitable habitats because of their flying ability. The birds fly over the oceans, mountains or fly to find food resources anywhere they want. The birds can choose a place to nest and raise young birds. The birds are a group of vertebrates that have been very successful in life on land. Compared with other vertebrates, the researchers found that the number of bird species is more, which is about 9040 species (16) and in Thailand with up to 1,018 species
The book Peace like a river mentioned many birds through out the book. The book even starts off with swede chasing a goose, this would seem normal if you hadn't looked into it closer. The goose that swede was chasing was a snow goose
These birds build floating nests, which have a range of 3-6 feet and are truly something that is a privilege to see. New birth - immeasurable happiness When is the nest, which can withstand even a man, new life comes into the world, we can only watch tender and
This quote shows that the bird is treated very unfairly and that the bird no longer has power. Also, the bird’s wings give it freedom to fly and survive in the wild, which it no longer has. This is an example of how power can be often abused, when put in the hands of the wrong people. Thus, the birds power and freedom has been taken away from it, becasue someone could not control their
There are a least 14 species of Darwin’s finches that have developed over millions of years. When Darwin encountered the finches on the Galapagos Islands he noticed the diversity of the Finches beaks and size compared to each other. In Figure 1 you can see this. The diet of nuts and berries that the finches had access to on the island is greatly related to the size and function of the finches beaks (Grant, 2003). The larger beaked birds fed off of hard shelled nuts, while the smaller beaked birds fed off of smaller seeds and nectar from plants.
In the beginning of the book, it is made clear that
Biotic components of ecosystems include plants, animals, and fungi living in that ecosystem that interact with the environment and other abiotic and biotic components. 8. Create a chart of the major characteristics of and differences between the following terrestrial biomes: Tundra, taiga, grasslands, temperate deciduous forest, desert, monsoon rainforest, tropical rainforest. 9. Create a chart of the major characteristics of and differences between the following aquatic biomes: freshwater ecosystems such as lakes, wetlands, and streams, marine biomes such as estuaries, intertidal zone, neritic zone, open sea zone, and deep sea zone.
Parrots. The most colorful birds that can fly anywhere around the world. Parrots and other birds have freedom, but what separates the parrot from the other birds is the sounds the parrot can make. Parrots mimic the sound of the owner. That is why man buys the parrot as a pet.
Fraser Island is the biggest sandy island containing one of the largest and most diverse Australian bird populations. A variety of birds including numerous raptor species, and common species such as crows frequently inhabit the eastern beaches of the island. The hypotheses that were examined in this study were that higher numbers of raptor individuals will occur on higher dunes that are positioned on the eastern beach, far fewer raptors will occur when aircraft is present on the beach, and that the number of Torresian crows will be substantially higher within human settlements. The study occurred on the eastern beach of Fraser Island, and the number and species of birds, and the environment type in each 5km sections over 100km were documented. In each 5km section, raptor numbers in total, dune height, number of aircraft, and Torresian crow numbers were recorded across the 100km.

Diversity may mean different things to different people. To me, diversity is exactly that, being different and unique. Diversity makes the world a beautiful place to be, and full of interesting and different people. The beauty of human civilization lies in its diverse groups and cultures.
As a gay, black man, raised in a predominantly white and heteronormative suburb of Georgia, I long for diversity and a change in scenery. When I visited California in July of this year, I felt an immediate, strong connection to the way of life, the people, the personalities, and the ambiance. I knew that I needed to be somewhere where I could be unapologetically me and be accepted for it, and I feel like I could find that in California. I have always been a very expressive individual, whether that is through my appearance or just speaking my mind. My mother is a very closed-minded individual, and because of this, she and I have always had problems with her blocking said expressiveness.
Even so, if there are 100 million species currently in existence, we are losing between 10,000 and 100,000 each year.” No matter which numbers are accurate, mislaying of biological diversity is a very serious-minded problem - and it seems to only get worse every single day. Unfortunately, an overwhelming volume of the earth 's biological diversity is in the equator region, a field tortured by extreme poverty and thus under serious risk of species loss. Conservation International has appointed 34 distinct regions as "biodiversity hotspots," areas that grip at least 1,500 classes of vascular plants (> 0.5 percent of the world’s total) as endemics, and have lost at least 70 percent of their own habitat. These 34 hotspots fill in only 2.3 percent of the Earth 's land surface, and eventually host over 50 percent of the world’s plant classes and 42 percent of all terrestrial vertebrate classes as endemics.
INTERSECTIONALITY THEORY This theory Combines issues such as dominance and oppression with different types of social categories, identities and biographies and focuses on a persons experience with multiple different aspects. We focus with theory on how multiple factors such as race, gender, and many more intersect and relate. With this theory we dig deeper to see the multiple origins of an issue. An example for this is dealing with the oppression the transgender community faces and then incorporating a client who is African American and transgender.
Penguins are social birds and other species enjoy their company. They travel to Tropical Islands, South America, and Antarctica. When they could fly it was fun times. In the sky the penguins played games with each other. They made designs and would speed race.
INTRODUCTION This assignment will focus on explaining the importance of diversity management, challenges of management diversity, give strategies and implementation of management diversity in the workplace. A diverse workforce is a reflection of a changing world and marketplace. Diverse work teams bring high value to organizations. Respecting individual differences will benefit the workplace by creating a competitive edge and increasing work productivity.
