When I spend time with my family and having fun, I think of how lucky I am to have my Grandpa. The three reasons why veterans means more to me on Veterans Day are my Grandpa, family history, and birthday. My Grandpa because of all that he has been through. Family history because of how one war changed most of my family members’ lives. My birthday because it reminds me of how lucky I am to have my .
All in all, the Trans Alaska pipeline has provided for a great number of people and has not failed to let them down. It has become a staple in Alaskan culture and in the United States economy. Though critics of the pipeline may try to spread suggestions of inevitable environmental disaster, these claims have been disproven before and will be disproven again. In the words of Lisa Murkowski, “As TAPS reaches 40 good years, we look back, and appreciate the past. And we also look forward, and set our sights on at least 40
His friend Aaron was so happy as well. They both went back home safely and happy. A year later had gone by and the “Superman” ride was ready and fixed. To this day on, everyone thanks Flasher for saving the
Peyton Manning drafted number one overall in the 1998 draft seemed to be destined for greatness. Peyton has lived up to the hype, shattering career records set by many other greats before him. Peyton holds the record for most career wins, touchdowns, yards, MVP’s, and unfortunately interceptions. Adding on fourteen pro bowl appearances, five time AFC player of the year, and one super bowl MVP (Dator). Tom Brady, on the other hand, is a different story.
He is the most incredible four legged friend to walk into my life. Even in his retirement, Bandit never ceases to amaze me with his sassy attitude and hearty spirit. To this day, I have never lost the feeling that if you have faith, good things will come in due
Chapter Eleven Upperclassman. It is what every high schooler looks forward to being. Being an upperclassman came with many new parts of school that I did not get to experience before. Prom, donkey basketball, and being one of the older kids were only a few of the ways that made junior year the best. Having the opportunity to experience these milestones with my friends kept the year filled with never ending laughter and joy.
These favorite memories include the James Madison Parade of Champions, my favorite band competition, and the band banquets where everyone comes together and has a great time reflecting on the past year. However, the band concerts are something that I will miss greatly. Working on two to three pieces of music for a couple of months sounds tedious. I was speechless with great happiness, and I jumped for joy; at the age of nine I was amazed to know that my dream had come into existence. So yes, God does work in mysterious ways, that no one can explain. The next day came, and I had to travel to the capital state of my country to obtain my passport and documents which I would need to travel. Weeks and days went by and my excitement lessened as I began to realize how much I would miss home, members of my family, most especially my lovely grandma because of the bond we shared. I knew I would miss them deeply, so I began to cherish the days I had left to spend with them before my trip.
Simply reciting the National Anthem is a way to show my respect for the country and gives a thank you to the ones who have fought and died for my freedom. The National Anthem means a lot to me for the utter fact that a few of my family members have served for the country. As a young child I can remember waiting at the door for my uncles to walk through, the thought of them not coming home ever again scared me. Every time the phone rang I hoped that my uncles would say they were gonna be coming home soon. After 4 years they finally came home, the sense of happiness and relief overwhelmed me.
J has had many life experiences, the one she treasures the most is giving her life to God. Through her mother’s eyes she could see what her life purpose was. She knew to be like her mother she needed to find God in her life and make him her first priority. If Mrs. J was writing a story about her life she would divide it by ten years of life in one chapter and so on in hopes to make it to chapter ten on day being one-hundred years old. She said it would be the best birthday party she would have ever had and the best ending to a story.
