The birthright citizenship has caused many problems for America. So, they country needs to take steps to help solve this problem. The next two years might be the best time to pass legislation like this because of the Republican control of the White House and Congress. They would do their country a favor if they abolished birthright citizenship because of all the damage it has done to America. The government needs to kill the incentive to break the law.
Ted Cruz, a republican, was born in Canada to an American mother who was born in the state of Delaware. Many legal experts say Cruz meets the qualifications because he was born to an American mother. Cruz states that the constitution makes it “clear and straightforward,” about any child born to a U.S citizen is a natural-born citizen. Cruz also says that his interpretation of a “natural-born citizen” is anyone who is a U.S citizen at birth, and doesn’t necessarily have to be born in the country.

Birthright citizenship is making the American culture disappear. Illegal immigrant are growing in population in the United States, and they are dominating the country. They bring their culture, and with their children are spreading a strange culture. And it is not just one culture, but many cultures are getting rid of the American culture. The United States is disappearing from being one nation to be many small nations.
When I was in third grade, I was diagnosed with a medical condition that required me to go to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh multiple times per month. It was boring, annoying, and sometimes painful. I never enjoyed going and that didn’t change as I got older. But when I just started going, I was very sick. Between the one hundred two-degree fever I had and the amount of blood they had to take out of me for tests, I felt miserable.
The Civil War and the Birthright Citizenship in the American System: The Civil War began as a war to preserve or divide the Union. At its end four years later slavery was abolished and citizenship and voting rights were redefined. Abraham Lincoln 's Emancipation Proclamation of 1863, the flight of slaves behind Union Army lines, and the adoption of the Thirteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in December 1865 abolished slavery forever.
I profoundly agree with Chavez as she talks about, “Repealing the birthright citizenship is a terrible idea” (596). If we as Americans take the joy and pride of people that come to this land for freedom and a new life, what make us any better than Great Britain when we first started to build this country. We settle here for a change of mind and also a change of heart. By that being the case, us trying to take away the birthright citizenship to those who wasn’t born on this soil is absolutely wrong.
The population is growing fast and massive immigration is to blame. Not only is this a problem, but the economy of the United States is hurting too. Many people become unemployed and others are hit hard by paying high tax. The environment is also being harmed, due to the overpopulation factor. Immigration can become a serious problem without stricter laws.
A vast idea that shadows the United States of America is the American dream. It is an idea which has been branded on the U.S. since it became independent. From having a huge amount of people immigrate to its borders for a better life. The dream is one of first things that come to mind when thinking of the United States of America. The American dream can come in different shapes or sizes depending on the person who conquers it.
1. Define the term relationship. *** A relationship is a bond you can inherit or develop with another person (248). 2. How does citizenship play a role in your community?
I.Introduction One of the greatest controversies in modern day is illegal immigrants. There are an approximate 11.4 undocumented immigrants that live in our country today. Now with your new action in place, I think it’s a good thing. Mainly because it allows lasting illegal immigrants to stay here, it allows jobs to go to documented americans, and gives children hope for a better future ahead. II.
Many Americans have mixed views about citizenship for these people. Illegal immigrants should be granted citizenship based on how the person is doing. If they are causing trouble they don't need to be here. If they are working trying to get a check to provide for their family then why not keep them here. It could also help decrease the amount of debt America is in because of the increased tax returns.
I found this book to be interesting and informative as the authors maintain in the introduction that education and knowledge truly empower children for it provides them with the opportunities that are needed for themselves and their families. They further mention that education provides a gateway for children to break through the societal norms of oppression, especially in the developing countries. There are a few chapters in this book, I believe, could help to get some more information and sources of how children should receive education and what prevents them from achieving their schooling goal. For example, chapter three, “Recognizing children as citizens,” discovers the recognition of children as citizens with rights as those who are not
This quote from the article stood out to me the most, especially the last sentence. I think Ms. Chavez made a good point when she included that it would change what it meant to be an American by denying citizenship to immigrants born here. Considering the fact that the Europeans who settled here long ago would be considered “aliens” to the Native Americans that were here first. The Europeans decided it was okay to encroach on the land; so what makes it any different if other people do it today? I feel like if parents go through all the trouble to get to the United States to live a better life and happen to bring a child into the world with them, on American ground, then their child should be considered a citizen.
Second class citizenship should be allowed in the United States. One piece of evidence that point to this, is that immigrants come to look for a job and second-class citizenship provides them with it. A job that includes money to make a living. Although second-class citizenship does not allow the illegal immigrant the right to vote, they still have the right to receive the pay of a citizen. Research has shown that most undocumented people coming to the United States is because they come to look for jobs.
