This category is not found in all businesses as it is not always essential. Large businesses tend to have an entire division for operations and it habitually has its own hierarchy to make sure that operations are processed appropriately and in a formal order. Smaller businesses tend to have a senior manager or a small management team who are in control of the business’ operations. Personnel - this category is the indispensable area involved in almost every business. Personnel are responsible for ‘carrying’ the business as they are required for tasks such as directly selling products to customers.
• The operations sector manages and supports the business. It includes admissions, rides and attractions and medical issues. However, it can often be seen as the “back office” because it takes care of the many background jobs as well and doesn’t come into contact with the customers, just works behind the scenes in order to help the business remain stable and run efficiently. The Operations sector also has to work with other sectors by using sales forecasts produced by the marketing sector to help plan their production
When working with the Young Democrats of Westminster, I could tell they were excited to have us at the meeting to guide them in their mission and vision statement making process. They seemed very eager to get our input, and wanted us to feel just as involved as they are in the club. Eunice seemed especially excited about our project. He thought a mission and vision statement would help them lay out some groundwork for their growing campus organization, and let the student body know where they stand. I feel the Young Democrats will benefit from knowing what their prerogative is.
Managers control who gets hired by deciding whether or not they will be a valuable employee. The district manager is the one who controls situations that involve incidents, and he or she determines what actions need to be taken based on the report that a manager filled out. The ones who oversee a specific shift, and make sure all tasks are being done so the customers can be happy is the job of the shift supervisors. The headquarters make the rules and regulations in accordance with the consumer services and department of agriculture. If stores are keeping the sales floor clean and making food correctly, a secret shopper reports back to the district manager about how well the store is doing.
Synthesis Essay Equality is the state of being equal, especially in status, rights, and opportunities. Therefore we as people deserve equality in status, rights, and in opportunity. Sadly this is hardly portrayed in today 's society. Yet we were promised these things in the american promise.
During the 20th Century, Native Americans, African American, and women fought for equal political and social rights. The end of World War I brought with it, a series of movements and activist fighting for equality. The war called for the help of everyone including Native Americans, African Americans and women therefore they felt more empowered to speak out against inequalities and push for equality. The 20th century saw the beginning of many organizations promoting equality such as the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), National Women’s Party, and the National Congress of American Indians all of which promoted equal rights by organizing rallies, participating in protests and giving powerful speeches.

The transition from high school can be very difficult. Going from knowing everything about a school, its programs as well as surroundings to not knowing anything basically is a huge change. Meeting new friends and connections in the area could be the most difficult of all. One of the most important things that I have learned since being here is finding you "niche" here at the University. Being successful in class and also out of class is the main objective in college.

1. My philosophy of leadership is about collaboration and teamwork. Respecting and treating everyone the same, is key to supporting a good team atmosphere. I believe when a leader puts effort and care into assisting others, then their peers and followers will naturally want to support them. It is also important for a leader to recognize, that advocacy must never become so important that the critical elements of leadership are neglected (e.g. policy enforcement, command support, etc...).
Furthermore, a leader can play a significant role in terms of judging and decision making in a more complex changed phenomenon. According to Cummings and Vorley (2007) to clarify and shift IBM’s culture, it needed to change its approach. Participative Approach The Participative approach, is often called the democratic leadership style as participative leadership values the input of team members and peers in general, but the responsibility of making the final decision relies with the participative leader. Participative leadership increases employee morale as employees make contributions to the decision-making process. It shows the employees and tends to make them feel as if their opinions do really matter.

TASK 1.1 Importance of operation management Operations management (OM) is the business function responsible for managing the process of creation of goods and services. It involves planning, organizing, coordinating, and controlling all the resources needed to produce a company’s goods and services. Because operations management is a management function, it involves managing people, equipment, technology, information, and all the other resources needed in the production of goods and services. Operations management is the central core function of every company. This is true regardless of the size of the company, the industry it is in, whether it is manufacturing or service, or is for-profit or not-for-profit.
