Blue Color And Tissue In The Close Up Of Kayla

This is what I tried to convey in the close up of Kayla laying on her bed after finishing with her client. I used blues and purples with a dark colour palette, to show her thought, indifference and her contempt for what she does. However, although the blue colour and tone is important, I toned it down from the original shot to give a darker look to the film as I think a darker but colourfully saturated palette created the mood and theme we wanted to create. It being turned down conveys the idea of indifference and contempt better than a colourful more vibrant blue would do. I felt it was too stylised leading to an unnecessary distraction. As well as toning the blue down another major correction was removing a lot of the blue from the client.
