Having a dress code is good for schools because it helps students act more respectfully, to reduce crime rate, and to resist peer pressure. Dress codes involve and support these three reason of having this rule. I agree with having dress codes because it can improve grades and
If certain colors and styles distinguish one gang from another, they reasoned, banning that clothing could stymie gang activities on school grounds. And there have been result: Administrators in Long Beach, California, for example, report that school crime has been reduced by 76 percent since uniforms have been
It is well worth it for the school system to provide uniforms to such families. The uniforms are guaranteed to be used, so poor kids get better clothing and costs are lowered overall. Another is it wouldn’t offend the low class families and let high class families bully them. This is really a helpful way to save money. We would not anymore need to buy and buy new clothes for preparing what to wear for the next days.
The school uniform would be improved if hoodies and fleeces made a comeback. Contrary to the belief that fleeces and hoodies being banned is good for the school. Banning fleeces and hoodies just made people feel like they have less freedom in picking what they wear to school each day. So I believe if we brought back fleeces and hoodies the uniform will improve. One thing shows that hoodies were a pretty popular accessory worn by students on school days.
There are valid points to both sides of the argument. However, I believe the positive learning environment, the increased responibility of the students, and the improved safety at the school are reasons to support an overall improved learning experience in schools that implement and maintain a uniform
When they are all dressed alike, their all-for-one-and-one-for-all comradery is boosted therefore it builds a positive environment for them. Some people may claim that students can have more independence and can show off their originality and creativity by not wearing the traditional ‘boring’ school uniforms, but not wearing school uniforms not only triggers disturbance, it might also cause students to wear scantily, which is inelegant and not pleasing at all. This educate children the lesson of respect and prioritizing, setting studies over fashion, since their central focus should be on studying now. Therefore, school uniforms teach students respect and the importance to prioritize. According to Spencer (2013) “Wearing a uniform is a badge of pride, creates an identity for a school and is an important part of being a school student.” People might articulate that school uniforms are tedious and unattractive, but only school uniforms, can create a sense of exceptionality.
One reason why I think that conduct should be graded is that it would improve our education because when there are no problems in school with any kids, then the students would most probably do much better in school while concentrating more on their work. There would also be no disruption and all the students will make most out of their day. One of my friends, for example, she used to go to a school that was full of kids with problems and
Some kids wear things that make them look younger than they really are. The third reason school uniforms could have a positive effect is that for students they do not have to worry about the school dress code. Also school uniforms help teachers identify intruders that could sneak into school. The last reason is you show school spirit everyday. This passage tells you some of the pros and cons of having school uniforms at school.
By doing this, it supports that there is no use in having uniforms to stop bullying. Despite the fact that uniforms do not put a complete stop to bullying within students, they do help in reducing it. Yes, there may have been a decrease in bullying the same time that uniforms were implemented, however there might have been a different cause. The decrease in bullying most likely was caused by schools also enforcing the rules much stricter once they got the uniforms. In addition, the teachers have learned about the risks of bullying, consequently enforcing the anti-bully rules to prevent bullying.
Requiring every student to dress the same can help to make everyone equal and therefore cut down on feeling superior to one another. On the other hand, you have to consider that bullying happens everywhere and most likely will still continue to exist in a school with uniforms, although it may help to decrease it a significant amount. Bullying is a serious issue, but the school board has to figure out if uniforms will help or hurt their cause. As far as hurting, I am not sure what damage it could do to the bullying cause but I am sure there is some. Now that I consider it, it would make those less fortunate easier to discover.
Lowering these distractions in the hallways will also dismiss academic distractions. It has the possibility to boost gpas. Removing students preforming these acts will also improve student’s mindset, who do not perform these acts. Lessening tension felt in school by reducing stressed students from dangerous people or the possibility of being peer pressured into drugs. This will over all improve the function of the school, and its popularity among students who only want to go to school for an education.
Every person looks almost alike. In a similar way, there is no difference between people wearing similar clothes and students wearing the same uniform. On top of that, a student’s individuality should not be based only upon on his or her appearance but in accordance with his/her grades, attitude, and behavior. School uniform will help refocus the student’s attention towards education. School uniforms will help prevent bullying in public schools.
Screenings in schools would enhance student success at school and interrelated benefits for students, families and teachers. Also, finding problems earlier in life allowing room to treat them before they become severe. Reducing cost because of less need for intensive treatments and special education. Depression is when one really does not care about anything. Anxiety is when one cares too much about everything.
