Bobbi Kristina Brown was moved to hospice care. Radar Online, June 24, 2015 reported that the family has agreed to take Bobbi Kristina off drugs so she can pass away naturally. This means that unless a miracle happens, Bobbi Kristina will not be with us for much longer. Bobbi Kristina was found on January 31; face down and unresponsive in her bathtub at her home in Atlanta. She was found by family friend, Max Lomas.
On June 24, 2006, Patsy Ramsey died after a long battle with ovarian cancer. This was nearly 10 years after JonBenét’s death. Brittany Maynard chose to the “Death with Dignity” option after learning that she only had six months to live after her brain cancer became more aggressive and turned to a grade 4 glioblastoma. She moved from California to Oregon in order to legally receive a prescription of a lethal dose of barbiturates. Oregonis one of five states in the U.S that has the passed the Death with Dignity Act. Brittany chose this option because she did not want to go through radiation or live the last of her days in pain while her family watched. Brittany stated, “Because the rest of my body is young and healthy, I m likely to physically hang on for a long time even though cancer is eating my mind, and my family would have to watch that,” (page 565).
JonBenet was in the spotlight for most of her life, and ironically her mysterious death was the same. At age twenty-nine, Brittany had been diagnosed with a stage four malignant brain tumor which then classified her as a terminally ill patient. Suffering from daily symptoms everyday became worse. Some of these symptoms would include seizures, head and neck pain, and stroke-like symptoms. Brittany soon became an advocate for death-with-dignity laws and spent her days advocating, especially those days that were her final ones. This is the reason why Physician-assisted suicide is an option.
In the story 60 Minutes “Ending Life” it talks about a woman named Barbara who went to go visit her dad Joe who was not feeling very good. When she went over there she they started talking and after awhile he asked her to hand a flask but when she handed it to him she didn’t know what was in the flask she handed him. After she gave him the flask she held his hand and started talking to him. A couple minutes later the nurse comes over to check on him and she sees that he is not moving and calls the cops.

Coming from being a featured singer with Ike turner, she renamed herself Tina turner and that is when she became fierce and unstoppable. Tina Turner did not bloom as well as a solo artist but she always gave her fans more and more music to love. When Tina Turner got on stage it was like a whirlwind. She has so many artist that dedicate their career and achievements to her for her integrity and strength. The artist that I believe is most like her today is Beyonce. Diagnosed with brain cancer, Maynard decided to research her options to save or extend her life; she reached the conclusion that nothing can be done for her. “There is no treatment that would save my life, and the recommended treatments would have destroyed the time I had left.” Instead of living her last few months in pain, Brittany decided to move to Oregon to legally do receive the medication to die. People argued against her stance, one women with cancer herself asked her to reconsider, but Brittany was firm on where she stood. Brittany, at the age of 29, died in Oregon by lethal medication.
She then went to work for KTVT in Ft. Worth, Texas. Later, she moved to Chicago and stayed there many years. In 2004, her sister, Renate, was murdered in Houston, Texas. They found her body floating in the pool.
Text to Text Connection: There is an article that discusses the lives of Kindra Chapman, Joyce Curnell, Ralkina Jones and Raynette Turner who were arrested by local authorities and found dead in their cells. These deaths are still under investigation. Kindra Chapman was found dead in her cell after allegedly stealing a cell phone and it was stated by the coroner it was a suicide.
It is known that Bobbi Kristina Brown like doing drugs and had a problem with it, but according to Radar Online, Bobbi Kristina spent the final weeks of her life heavily drugged up. In a transcript of a videotaped deposition by one of her close friends Danyela Bradley, she claims that Bobbi Kristina did marijuana, crack, and heroin. The transcript is not from the Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina estate civil suit, but instead it is part of an injury lawsuit filed by Russell J. Eckerman. On January 27, he claims he was injured in the car crash incident when Danyela’s jeep, Bobbi Kristina was driving crashed into him. Danyela was a passenger in the jeep at the time and Bobbi Kristina allegedly followed Russell’s vehicle too closely.
Bella Bond- a sweet faced two year old little girl. Upon her death, her body was stuffed into a trash bag and left on the Deer Island beach near Boston Harbor. Her body was found on June 25th 2015 on Deer Island right off of Boston harbor by woman walking her dog. From the body, the police were able to develop computer generated face that looked very much like a photo and had a striking resemblance to Bella Bond. On June 2011, Dave Holloway filed a petition with the Alabama courts seeking to have his daughter declared legally dead. His former wife opposed the petition. A hearing was held on September 23, 2011, during which Probate Judge Alan King ruled Dave Holloway had met the requirements for a legal presumption of death. On January 12, 2012, a second hearing was held, after which Judge King signed the order declaring Natalee Holloway to be dead (Disappearance of Natalee Holloway, 2015). Ten years after Natalee Holloway went missing, a Dutch citizen came forward and claimed he knew where to find her.
Barbara and her family deal with similar symptoms as those who were directly victimized. Barbra has to deal with the stress of loosing her daughters and the process of the cases. When a crime first happens it can be very traumatic to the victim. The victim could be in shock or confused to what happen to them. Once a person has been victimized they must begin to put their life back together.
Brittany Maynard has been fed up with the government making medical decisions for her and patients in the same situation as her. This is what was on her mind “How dare the government make decisions for terminally ill people like me. Unfortunately, California law prevented me from getting the end of life option I deserved. No one should have to leave their home and community for a gentle death.” She has set things right for terminally ill patients in California.
