This book is about two children that grew up in New York City, and the Jewish faith but one a very fanatical Jew. The first character we meet is a boy named Reuven Malter he is 15 his mother died shortly after his birth he is apikorsim a Jew that does not live by the strictest parts of the faith. The other boy Daniel Saunders was very orthodox and hated apikorsim. These boys would never have thought that their relationship would blossom. These boys were scheduled to play against each other from their school baseball teams.
The book I read was called Bold Spirit by Linda Lawrence Hunt. Bold Spirit is about Helga Estby and her daughter Clara Estby’s walk across America. They traveled 3,500 miles, from Spokane Washington to New York. This took place after the 1893 Washington depression. Helga and her husband Ole needed money to pay for the loans they took out to keep their farm.

Farewell to Manzanar is a non-fiction book written by Jeanne Wakatsuki Houston and James D. Houston.
Jeanne Wakatsuki wrote a sorrowful novel entitled Farewell to Manzanar. It is about her experience at the internment camp for Japanese and Japanese-Americans during World War II. Jeanne and her family were relocated in Manzanar for their protection but it turns to the burdensome situation when they came in that camp. Roosevelt implemented an order which empowers the War Department to remove Japanese people contemplated being risky to Government. One that is a favorite of many is the mud festival and the “festival de el mal humor” the festival of the bad humor. If one is planning to attend the mud festival get ready to get dirty! The event takes place in fields that are wet until it becomes an extremely muddy. They then proceed to allow large 4x4 trucks and motorcycles to enter the mud getting everyone and everything around them completely covered in mud. They also have mud races with obstacle courses, were the winning teams get a price, not only does this event make the people work together as a team, but all the funds raised from this event go to a charity that helps foster children in the home town.

Mansa Musa was a monotheistic, Muslim leader who wanted to spread the Islam belief of one god and diminish the polytheistic faith while following the 5 Pillars from the Muslim holy book, the Koran, throughout his religious pilgrimage across Africa to the city of Mecca. During the pilgrimage, Mansa Musa combines many religious factors to inform and influence other people about Islam. On Mansa Musa's hajj, 60,000 people followed him (Document A).

Personal Statement I would like to confirm that it is my motivating of Chinese culture that ignited my passion for cultural and creative industry. As a Tourism Management major student, I was able to explore the Chinese diversified cultures and landscapes, which offered me an insightful understanding of the Chinese cultural development. Under the guidance of commercialization, some cultural heritages have developed into huge tourism souvenir markets full of counterfeit and shoddy products. The over-commercialization reveals the fact that the Chinese culture is facing a severe situation. The country calls for a better cultural development strategy, which cultural and creative industry can offer.
The novel I have chosen is “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” by J.K. Rowling. Which is one of the most well-known children’s novel in the world. It is about an 11 year old boy called Harry who before now has lived a very hard life with relatives who don’t like him. He suddenly discovers that he is, in fact, a wizard and is to be thought at the famous Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This is where he finds out that he is famous in the wizarding community, for defeating Voldamort as a baby.
