The book “The Other Wes Moore: One Name, Two Fates” talks about two young kids that has same name, lives in the same neighborhood, but has different destinies. The author Wes mother Joy was a single mother, as the other Wes mother Mary was a single mother by different circumstances. Also, an essential play roll at the book is that both mothers wants to give their child education and be successful for the future. Both Wes’s are going in the same path of getting into trouble and being rebels. They are acting unreasonably and taking the wrong decisions that would affect them self in the future.
Reading this book, The other Wes Moore, left me with some ideas that could of changed Wes’s life before his imprisonment. Some productive ideas I thought of for a difference that could've led Wes’s life in a different direction are, listening to Tony about staying out of the drug game and sticking with Levy, who introduced Wes to the Job Corps. These people I believe could have impacted his life significantly if there wasn't so much negativity in the community. Also, there are some ways to ensure a more productive life for the many young men who grow up on the streets, and those are, staying positive, think about your future and find people who make you want to do better in life.

One of the images that highly influenced the outcome of the movement and helped achieve legislation that treated everyone equal was “Attack Dogs,” a photograph taken by Charles Moore in 1963 and published in the LIFE magazine. From the two stories “The Gift of the Magi” and “The Scarlet Ibis” I feel that “The Scarlet Ibis” is the more effective short story because of the emotion that the story carries and because of the context that the story displays. ”The Gift of the Magi” has a theme that touches the readers in a special way because they feel the love that the couple Della and Jim display for each other in the book. The theme of the book “The Gift of the Magi” is about love. It's a story about a poor, young couple that their love for each other is the most important thing in life, and they both give up their most precious possessions to be able to afford presents for each other on Christmas Eve.
