Sacrificing His life shows that He is good and loving beyond any reasonable doubt. God’s creation of the world proves He is all-powerful and the restoration that He will ultimately bring when He returns will only display His glory and power even more. God saves people from the effects of sin; He does not cause suffering and evil in the world. If anyone deserved an answer to the question of why God allows individual suffering, it was Job. Job never received an answer to why, but he did encounter God.
Preached by pastor Gurley states “...his calm and steady faith in God lives, is precious, and will be a power for good in the country quite down to the end of time” (Gurley 77). Facing fear despite how little the fear may be is another form of heroism. Being brave, courageous, outspoken are all words that describe heroism, but heroism never has to be a big action. In everyday society, the functions of heroism are people who surpass themselves and become a better person. Whether that is saying no to the influence of drugs, or famous people being modest and humble.
Lewis also argues that the scientific method cannot explain if God exists or not (58). This is true because no observations and experiments can be done to find an answer to God’s existence. Furthermore, people that have a strong faith will not long for scientific answers in order to have believe in God. I cannot disagree with any of the arguments Lewis provides because they all acknowledge the existence of God and do not question God’s existence.
And to be more obedient and mindful of our relationship with God and with one another as we continually care, feed and nurture each other, in the ways of Jesus’ life and ministry. The resurrection story is a story of victory over selfishness and pride, over cowardice and denial, over fear and doubt. The power of resurrection is not offered to people who have accepted Jesus’ death, but have not accepted His new life. A certain writer, in his article said, “resurrection life is not just about having your sins forgiven. Our religion is not just sin management.
5:1 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. I Co. 10:13 Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. III Jn. 2 Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near. Is.
It is no secret that Jesus is often portrayed as an otherworldly figure and often times not viewed as having true human parents. Despite this fact, Jesus still loved Mary and Joseph for taking care of him as a child. Gatsby, like Jesus, has a father and mother that took care of him as a child, but Gatsby “has never really accepted them as his own parents at all. The truth was that Jay Gatsby … sprang from his Platonic conception of himself” (Fitzgerald 98). This quote provides us with the detail that Gatsby has the notion that he was never born to human parents because he views himself as superior to not only them, but Jesus Christ.
In fact, the Bible says, “because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in” (New International Version, Prov. 3:12). This implies that discipline is very important and in fact shows that the parent cares very much for the child’s future and wellbeing. If the parent does not discipline the child, the child could potentially grow up into an adult that does not know where are the limits and without self control. Asian parenting is not too harsh on children and does not negatively affect a child’s
The last character to be evaluated in Chaucer’s Canterbury Tales is the Parson. When closely exanimating his character, no flaw can be found. He provides great insight on the coexistence of men with good and bad nature in such a time period. Unlike the Friar and the Pardoner, the Parson has no care for money or glory; nor does he ever have immoral relations with women or deceitful actions. There is nothing in his heart but love for God and others.
God, the preeminent stockholder of grace, invest unlimited and unconditional love in human beings, so human beings as responsible recipients of grace may show grace. We do not disregard works. We work not for grace, but in response to the grace of God, Christians desire to be in obedience to God. Amazing grace was not in our non-reaction to the aggressive drivers that was just common sense and courtesy at best. Grace was the response of Big Guy believing in dying the death he envisioned would be, acknowledging that between 2005 and 2010 he had been set free to die that he might live.
