One thing should be considered to ask the boss directly individual when he or she is having a free time or in a certainly sure that he is relaxed in a mood to answer all the question to make all the question clear and do not evaluate to respond by giving a comment. Instead, just only need to listen and encourage him.
Secondly, is to ask other person who has work closely to the boss is also what the authors recommended. This way can perfectly be the simplest way to find out the point of the boss motivation.
Thirdly, another factor that the author recommended is to watch the boss thoroughly. The easy way to know him better is to observe what and how he is does things including the way he decides and justifies his works. Fourthly, The main thing to know what motivates the boss is to listen and pay attention to what he say, listening to the boss itself may give some ideas of what leads him to imitate his motivates.
