The most deceptive selection offered was the article entitled, “Boston Massacre as Reported in the Boston Gazette”. This was the most deceptive primarily due to its title. A massacre generally refers to a mass indiscriminate killing of a large number of people. The article however describes the killing of only a few individuals. The article also fails to inform the reader of the events that led up to the onset of the killing. This presented a biased representation of the event. The most civil selection offered was Martin Luther King Junior's “I Have a Dream” Speech. This speech presented the social state of the United States during the time period of the speech and detailed Matin Luther King Junior's goals or “Dreams” for a land where people
