As the initiative is run through the school the child goes to, the staff of Healthy Harold do not care for any of the above factors as long as the students learn the correct information that is supplied on the syllabus. If the child does not speak English, the school will contact the Healthy Harold educators to warn them of the issue, they will then send somebody who can speak that language or if that translator is unavailable, they will send over a teachers resource that the teacher can read and help explain it to the child. Individual - Individual factors include a person 's genetic makeup, skills and knowledge. Health behaviours are modifiable actions that can affect health positively or negatively.
During this stage, children start to interact more with peers in school. Through interacting with other kids, children will not only practice their social ability but gain a sense of initiative through planning things themselves as well, thus to feel confident in their ability and decision-making. It is important for children to explore and plan activities by themselves to achieve the feeling of control, yet Genie was not able to decide or try anything in her early childhood. On the contract, she got beaten by her father whatever she did. Therefore, combining the autism and the lack of confidence she expressed after the rescue, we can assume after the fails of the previous development, Genie was apparently not an initiative child.
The writer states that she was using this approach while applying the puzzles to acquire the problem-solving skills; however, there is no detail about this approach. It can be said that “Constructivist approaches to learning emphasize student-centered and project-based learning where students pose questions, explore multiple interpretations of meaning, and where the teacher acts as facilitator and guide.” . But, in case the reader does not know about this approach, there should have given some general information about it and the methods which are used in it. On the other hand, according to the description of the approach above, the writer literally used it in the class taking into consideration that the whole process she stated in her article is based on this learner-centric education, which was observed the shift from the teacher-centric
The program touched on what would happen to a child mentally and not just physically. We learn a lot on how child develop in class but don’t really touch on how everything around them can affect them in a big way. For example, in the program I separated from my spouse for a while. The program went into how this was affecting my daughter and I got to later go into detail on
The Ghana Education Service have recently included arts as part of the curriculum at the basic schools to build the creativity of pupil before they get to the Junior High school and since is a new to our education system, there is a lack of creative art teacher and there is the desperate need for volunteers to help staff teach the subject. Volunteers will assist children to develop their cognitive abilities through creative methods using constructive materials, paints, clay and drawing. They will also help to keep the classroom clean, teach basic English and report on daily activities to local teachers. In addition to creative arts lessons, volunteers can spend time assisting the teachers in other subjects.
A reason that homework maybe necessary is coming from Brayden Mau, he said “Yes, because it helps kids learn on what they are doing and they can learn the material better.” One reason that homework may not be necessary is coming from Hayden Karpinski and Allen Leitner. Hayden said “No, We do everything in school that we need to know. Being at home is our own time, not theirs.” and Allen said “No, if you have questions you can 't ask a teacher.”
In elementary school, the world is a playground and the kids just want to play. They are not ready to make a decision that will determine the rest of their education, like what they want to study and where they want to go. In elementary children do not have the opportunity to pick which classes they want to take due to the fact that they teach them the basics like Math, English, History, and Science, however, when students enter middle school they are introduced to a new variety of classes in which they have the choice to pick. If a student enjoyed drawing and crafting there is often a class to meet with their likings such as “Arts and Crafts” which is offered at most middle schools, but if a student does not like drawing or coloring, but they love technology and computers then they would most likely choose “Computer Science”. A middle school does offer a variety of choices, but the students are still unsure of their career and their future until they begin their journey in high school.
Society should not get to decide the differences between men and women. Children are taught from a very young age on how they should act based on their gender. These stereotypes are reinforced by their family, friends, media and society. Maybe one day you will be able to walk into a classroom and see children playing with toys they want rather than what their are expected to play
I believe that students learn best in an environment that promotes learning. Students should not feel stressed when coming to school, they should be able to express their thoughts. One idea that I will understand as a teacher is that children learn in different ways such as some may be visual, auditory, kinesthetic, or tactile
Teachers can affect kids education in some ways lack of motivation, not caring for the kids education only there paycheck, not holding up a good classroom and not having kids under control. It all go back to how the kids were raised in the house hold that’s how they will act in a class room not caring for their education
Competency Statement I To establish and maintain a safe, healthy, learning environment. My goal in a child care facility would be to make sure everything is safe for the children along with the staff who would work there. To make sure that the children would want to come back and feel safe at the facility. I would want everything to be healthy for the children as well as the staff also. No one would want their children to come to an unhealthy facility.
