Folklore is the traditional beliefs, customs, and stories of a community, passed through the generations. Folklore can also transmit a culture's morals and values. A legend is based on history embellished, and told and retold. A myth is based on religion, supernatural beings, Gods and Demigods, and explains natural phenomenon. A fairy tale is Fiction/False/Make-believe, imaginary creatures, magic, fantastic elements, and conflict between good and evil. One day the boy encounters a group of bandits who terrorize a nearby village. He uses the violin to put the bandits to sleep and save the village. He becomes a hero and is celebrated for his bravery and talent. The fairy tale highlights the importance of music in Brazilian culture. The story also reflects the value of resourcefulness and creativity. One of the values in this story is courage, the boy is faced with a situation, but he used his bravery to overcome it. The story also emphasizes the importance of creativity and resourcefulness. The boy uses his talent to solve a problem and save the village. It also shows the importance of generosity and kindness. They also are different because each of the stories are unique due to being in different parts of brazil. Brazilian folklore is a reflection of the country’s values that are important to its people. Through stories, music, and dance, Brazilian folklore celebrates cultural diversity and creativity. The universal values in Brazilian folklore are the importance of family, respect for elders, and the power of nature. If Brazilian folklore is preserved and passed on to future generations, they will inherit a legacy that reflects the countries history. By learning about Brazilian folklore, future generations will understand the country’s diversity.
