A Brief Bout of Bees

You have more than likely seen one of these little insects before. Chances are, a small black and yellow bug has grabbed your eye as it sat atop a clover flower or the like. Perhaps, as a child you made the misguided decision to grab one and wound up with a nasty bee sting. People see bees every day, but do you know how important bees are?

It is estimated that approximately 1/3 of human's food supply depends on bees. This is because bees are very effective pollinators. Bees spend most of their lives out in the world collecting nectar and pollen from flowers in order to make their own honey. By doing this, bees inadvertently pollinate the crops they are feeding off of when the pollen from one flower attaches itself
