My Thoughts I know I 'm a little late to this since most people posted about John Green 's new book before or as soon as it came out, but I still need to talk about it. Like everyone else, I pre-ordered the book as soon as it came out. John hasn 't …show more content…
I don 't have a metal illness but a lot of my friends do and it can be hard to relate or understand what they 're going through, especially when you 've never gone through it. Now, I can 't really speak for it, but based on what I 've heard from my friends about mental illness, I thought that Green did a wonderful job portraying what it 's like to have a mental illness as a teenage girl. Even though it didn 't exactly have a happy ending, I loved Aza and Davis ' relationship. It showed not only what it 's like to date with a mental illness but what it 's like to date someone with a mental illness. The relationship was the perfect mix of cute moments and real struggles. I liked the added plot of the mystery with Russell Pickett. It made the story interesting. And I don 't usually like reading stories like that but when it 's not the center of the story I find that I enjoy the added suspense. Rating 5 out of 5 stars Turtles All the Way Down was an amazing read and I would recommend it to anyone. It addresses real world problems while still being a fun and entertaining book. John Green is a brilliant writer and I would recommend any
This book had a great plot that never became boring. Once I was kinda was getting bored with the book some new problem would arise
The book has many characters with very different personalities. The book has unexpected twists and turns throughout it. The novel involves kidnappers, a dragon and (of course) the 5 children from Miami that know nothing about what they’re getting into. This book started out as, a fairly normal story.
All in all, I significantly enjoyed this book, Lockdown, by Gordon Smith. This book is by far the most thrilling and horrific book I have ever read. I enjoyed this book so greatly, because of how well Gordon Smith explained certain aspects of his writing with great emotion and detail. Another feature I liked about this book was how intense it was, and how while reading, I was on the edge of my seat and wanting to read more. Also, throughout the book, I enjoyed the characters that take place in this story.

Based on a true event mixed with some fiction "Who Killed Christopher Goodman" written by Allan Wolf is based on a murder. Christopher Goodman the new kid from California that everyone likes, yet was murdered the night of Deadwood Days. The book is set to be late summer in a Virginia town in the year of 1979, everyone was excited for the upcoming Deadwood Days, but who would have thought that the night of the first day a high schooler would get murdered. Days before Deadwood Days Christopher moved into town and got to know Doc Chestnut, Squid Kaplan, Hunger McCoy, Hazel Turner, and Mildred Penny, he impacted each of the characters life one way or another. In the book “To Kill a Mockingbird,” there was a lot of courage. Courage means the ability to do something that frightens one. It takes a brave person to show courage. In the book a lot of the characters showed courage in their own way. More into the book, you’ll see more courage from the characters.
There was so much content and information that I had never even heard of until reading this book. It makes me think just how much other history has been stolen and not told rightly. All this time, I just assumed the rightful story was the one portrayed in the Disney movie. That sounds funny to type out, and quite ignorant. Finding out that she never married John Smith was eye opening for me.
This novel was exceptionally peculiar, which made the book nearly impossible to predict and held my attention until the very end. Matthew Quick was able to write a story I could easily relate to because of my passion towards basketball and common hardships teenagers endure. Moreover, frequent scenarios within the novel showed realistic struggles within violence that are very relatable and realistic in the 21st century. For instance, the internal struggles of high schoolers such as jealousy and trying to fit in. On top of this, it was astounding to see all three dynamic characters, Russ, Erin, and Finley develop throughout the story, as all three grew their friendship and learned from one another leaving you breathless.
The line conveys and proves that the story is also about a test of fate and commitment. This book, Gone Girl packs itself as a winning piece and formula, by confusing, frightening, and intriguing its readers all at once. Flynn, with this novel, has proven that her book deserves to be well-known, and an author to be crowned as the queen of Plot twists. At first, you might think that the novel is pale and boring but this book has its own sweet time to pick up the thriller type of genre that readers will not expect- It is definitely worth the wait.
