Iran. BP is involved in the chemical engineering industry in both the primary and tertiary sectors of business.
The primary sector of the economy is the sector making direct use of natural resources including, agriculture, forestry, fishing and mining. BP’s involvement in the primary sector includes the extraction of petroleum from underground oil pockets. This is normally done by drilling long holes into the earth with an oil rig to form oil wells. This is part of the

The U.S. uses 25% to 30% of the oil produced in the world, yet has less than 3% of known oil reserves,” (Doc C Paragraph 3).This is important because if becoming self-sufficient is impossible than is drilling even worth
Manufacturing – within a business the manufacturing department works alongside several other departments such as marketing and purchasing to make sure that they manufacture products efficiently. Manufacturing is generally a long process as detailed designs of products have to be assembled before construction can begin. Manufacturing varies can depend on the organisation type large companies are likely to manufacture products themselves, and they tend to do this on a large scale in order to be able to buy resources in bulk in order to save a substantial amount of money. Small businesses tend to design their own products but may not have the ability to manufacture; therefore they usually hire other companies to manufacture for them - this can be quite costly, so they commonly perform manufacturing on a large scale
Colour The storage unit uses a variety of colours, this makes the design more appealing to people and stand out more. The design uses pastel colours which are soft and milky colours (teal, flesh and ochre). This makes the storage unit more warm and looks more appealing because the colours are very pleasing to look at. These colours are great for rooms with kids because they are bright and warm, it adds more energy and happiness to the design.
P1: Describe customers in four different contexts: A Market: A market is a place where demand and supply operate. Buyers and sellers interact to trade their good and services. (What is a market? , n.d.)
Unit three covered the newsletter and the PowerPoint describing how we put together our newsletter and our design choices. I think putting together a newsletter is something that will greatly help us when we enter the job world. Companies use newsletter to get out information about their company and what projects they are working on. This unit gave us the tools to create a visually appealing newsletter and text that catches reader’s attention. Incorporating colors associated with the company relates the newsletter back to it.
Offshore Drilling Every year, in the United States alone, 565 million barrels or oil are extracted as a result of offshore drilling; totaling a startling amount of roughly 1.5 million barrels a day. Consequently, these threatening practices are negatively impacting marine mammals, sea birds, sea turtles, and fish. Although drilling offshore provides access to expensive resources such as oil, it heavily contributes to the extinction and endangerment of animals, and the disruption of marine ecosystems, thus these practices should be prohibited and viewed as unethical. To begin, new techniques of horizontal drilling allow for even greater amounts of oil to be extracted from a single well, producing problems in infrastructure on land.
The first economic stance is called Neutral. Neutral stance generates more tax revenue for the government. The next economic stance is called expansionary. Expansionary is essentially where the government is spending more money than it is collecting. The final economic stance is called contractionary.
Dear, I ‘m writing you to ask that you vote no on the Proposed Keystone XL Pipeline. The reason personally that I believe that you should vote no is because of the problems that will occur do to transporting oil in this way. Not only are we effected the environment in a negative way, we are also putting lives in jeopardy. The 1700 mile underground pipeline would link the tar sands fields of northern Alberta to oil refineries in Texas may sound like a great idea, let me tell you why I know that it is a bad idea.
I've already noticed that Macondo Prospect was powered by BP, making BP the most interesting company for my research. However, there are other companies that have performed operations to establish this source of oil. BP has leased the Macondo well from Transocean so we can identify Transocean as the owner of the well. BP held only 65 percent of the Macondo prospectus and we can identify the Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and MOEX Offshore as the other owners, with a 25 percent and 10 percent stake in the Macondo oil
For my research task the fast food restaurant I have chosen is Nandos because Nandos originates here in South Africa. The quality of their food has always been good, have never a problem with Nandos in terms of service. I’m going to look at their concept of insurance and how it’s implicated for business. I will be also be looking at crime situation in our country and how it affects businesses and how does insurance related to the situation. Also I will take a look at two different types of insurance, know as compulsory and non compulsory.

In the Oil & Gas Industry the competition is significantly intensive, with the market being ruled by big giants such as Exxon Mobil, Total, ConocoPhillips, British Petroleum, Chevron and the Royal Dutch Shell etc. Appendix A shows the market values of these super majors. The market is over ruled by three different types of players. 1.
INTRODUCTION The latter decade of the 20th century brought a number of major innovations to the pharmaceutical industry, most notably a remarkable wave of successful joint ventures and mergers between big and medium players in the market. In this case study we analyzed the Rorer and Rhône-Poulenc (RP) merger in July 31, 1990 that created a major multinational company: the Rhône-Poulenc Rorer, Inc. (RPR), where the RP became the majority shareholder, owning 68 percent of the RPR’s shares. Prior to the merger, Rorer lacked the resources to access the European market, and the firm presented relatively low cash balance and rising debt which, according to financial analysts, appeared to be handicapping its strategy of growth by acquisitions.
