During my years at Saint Andrew's, I have come in contact with a unique, fantastic community that I have found to love and appreciate. Saint Andrews's community is like no other, because of its love and caring people. During my years at Saint Andrew's, I have developed relationships with various people which I now call family and friends. There have been so many positive experiences at Saint Andrew School in different settings. During my time at Saint Andrew's, I experienced many positive interactions with the community and people, I did this in different ways and different environments.
One example of how I built relationships with my fellow community members was when I was offered help to be guided around the school. Where I found similarities

Sports helped me build on and build new relationships, it also allowed me to meet new people and encounter a new elements. Sports helped me, as we both shared similar interests and could connect more. Sports at Saint Andrew's was a whole new experience for me, as in previous schools our sports were not as organized and prestigious. Although, I had experience with sports with schools, sports at Saint Andrew's were different because as a team we were more united and compact, which made making friends and relations easier. As time passed and as a team, we spent more time together it started feeling more like a place of belonging and friendship. Because the team grew close together and we were unified. Even after the season ended, we were still a team, and this team became a family for me as we were all so close. We still check in with each other, encourage each other and motivate each other to get better. I experienced this in multiple sports and seasons as every different sport brought new interesting people. Although my main sport was soccer, I had the chance to experience new sports at Saint Andrews like Basketball, Track and Field, and Cross Country. All these new sports opened me up, I found new interests, new passions, and new hobbies. Of these sports, I still play these to this day as I grew compassion and fondness for the game, which then led me to find new people to enjoy it with. The sports community at Saint Andrew's is such a loving and compassionate place but at the same time competitive and that is why I love
In what way do you think participation in sports at BHS has benefitted you? Athletics at Batavia have played a major role in who I am today. Being a part of a sports team has given me lifelong friends and taught me
1. My significant contribution that I have made to Mount St. Ursula cannot be seen or touched, but, felt in the hearts of my wonderful teachers and classmates. My strong positivity has filled the environment of my school. I’ve often been told that I make optimistic impacts on many people’s lives. My amazing personality makes me a unique individual in my school amongst the cluster of young ladies.
Dear Parents of Amery Middle School Students: The problem is with sports is that some people think that sports are bad for children because they get to The physical and others think that sports are a better choice than to do nothing and learn sportsmanship. If one had to choose on side for the competitive sports, it would be children should play competitive sports because sports help children make positive decisions and to help them with their health. The first reason why children should play competitive sports is that it helps them will their positive decision.
Joining the lacrosse team, supplemented by joining the wrestling team and moving away for my first year of college, has helped to me recognize who I am as a person and where I want to be in my life. I wish to become the best version of myself that I possibly can be, and when I
In our community, I always strive to help others and the environment, and the people all around. I have assisted in the community cleanup at my local library and also the garbage cleanup at the beach. These actions that I have made helped shape my amazing experience at Wisdom Lane Middle School and they will help me shape my future for the better. These actions helped me build great relationships with the teachers in my school and even the principal. These pillars have helped me succeed in my three years of middle school and help me prepare for the rest of my years no matter what school I go to.
Throughout my high school career, I have taken opportunities to be an active community member through community service. Service that I have participated in has given me experience being a mentor and educator. As a link Crew leader, I volunteered my time to help the incoming freshmen in my community/ school district assimilate into their new environment. I went to training, followed a link crew curriculum, guided them in activities, offered advice, and served as a role model for the students. I helped them feel welcome and prepared to take on high school.
On some days, not enough volunteers would come for the program and it made it difficult because we could no longer work one-on-one, and some of the kids would run around and lose focus. But on days where all the volunteers came the classes were fantastic; multiple volunteers could work with one kid and it was just so simple to run everything. The classes were way more fun when more people were there and it made it easy to play games and get to know everybody. This knowledge about communities will help me in forming a community in the Honors Housing because I know that to get involved and be a full member of the community, I have to not only participate in events and meet people, but also encourage others to take part in events.
Participation in high school sports helps promote a physically active lifestyle. High school sports participation has grown from an estimated 4 million participants during the 1971--72 school year to an estimated 7.2 million in 2005--06 (1). However, despite the documented health benefits of increased physical activity (e.g., weight management, improved self-esteem, and increased strength, endurance, and flexibility) (2,3), those who participate in athletics are at risk for sports-related injuries (4,5). High school athletes account for an estimated 2 million injuries, 500,000 doctor visits, and 30,000 hospitalizations annually (6). To date, the study of these injuries has been limited by inabilities to calculate injury rates, compare results
Sports have always been something I loved as a kid. I grew up playing baseball at my local YMCA and aspired to play professionally when I got older. My time playing baseball changed me into the person I am today. It showed me how to work together with other people and allowed me to make lifelong friendships. My coach from my YMCA days taught me the joy in playing baseball, and the opportunities that could come from playing baseball in the long run.
As I grew older, I came to the realization that sports were not just a game, they with life lessons. Without sports, I would not have been in the same place I am today. They have taught me the importance of teamwork, attitude, and perseverance. In almost every sport, a team is a family and with them you are nothing. You learn to rely on the person
With this being a team sport, everyone has to work together and play their role to succeed. Having to share the field with nine or more people has taught me to communicate effectively, to support each other both on and off the field, and to celebrate each other's successes. My teammates have become my family. Sometimes, I’m around my teammates more than I am around my own family. Growing such a beautiful bond with my teammates from the young age of three.
It is in the person’s way to have an impact to other people. Sports bond every player that plays together (Ripken, 2012). Sports can make people bond with each other. You can share every experience that you could use in life. It can make mutual understanding with each other.
Lacrosse's physical activity, support, and opportunities for this growth and achievement make it my ideal sport for me to enhance the quality of my everyday life and mentality. I was granted the most improved player my 2nd year playing and this had motivated me to continue this journey and continue playing. I've been motivated to establish and achieve goals through this sport without the stress and anxiety I used to have. I've been able to increase both my focus and self-assurance because of it.
Throughout my high school career, I was forced into many situations where I was challenged to connect with my peers and serve as a role model for future students. Whether it be my involvement in the school marching band, or helping students in community tutoring sessions, I have always made it my goal to better the people around me through my own efforts. Throughout my high school career, I have put forth my best effort to connect with my peers, transform individuals, and make a difference in my community. Joining the school marching band at the beginning of my freshman year of high school was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
You feel relaxed when you're with your friends, and when you're doing something that you enjoy doing. However, one side reasons why sports bring many together and connect is maybe they might want the same goal at the end to win a event or make a meaningful memory with others. By participating in a sport, or multiple sports, it can have a positive impact on one’s
