The Federal Bureaucracy is an organization of non-elected officials of government or organization who implement the rules, laws, and functions of their institutions. Essentially, Congress and the president create laws that are vague. The bureaucracy is responsible for figuring out how to implement these vague laws in our society through regulations, forms and rules. The Bureaucracy consists of 500 departments with roughly 2.6 million employees. The most important thing that the bureaucracy does is implement policy. Congress and the President make the policies and laws, but they have someone else (the bureaucracy) to implement them. However, they also make policy by rule-making (process of defining rules or standards that apply uniformly to classes of individuals, events, and activities). Also, according to Jillson (2016), "Congress passes laws that authorize government programs, the bureaucracy then writes specific rules that define how the program will be administered." So, when the bureaucracy makes rules you have to obey them because they have the force of law.
On the onset, it might appear as though the federal bureaucracy and Congress are two completely separate entities, with no relation to each other. However, upon a further look into the situation, it is obvious that the two work closely together, Congress makes and passes the laws, and the federal bureaucracy institutes and enforces those laws into action. There is a government in where the government causes death by purposely making their citizens sick, giving a life and death test to young, and not mature children, brainwashing their citizens by providing them with TV families, removing their books which is their main source of knowledge, and making sure that their people don’t gain any useful knowledge. These are all points that show how cruel, unfair, and negative government control can be. Government's impact their society in today’s day and age.The government may impact their citizens feelings, behavior, emotion, and even personal thoughts. Before reading I too would have assumed bureaucracy is a waste of time and that most bureaucrats are just lazy, rude and tend to hate their job. But now I've realized that Bureaucracy does succeed. The Government is the ultimate ruler of the people, sets the ultimate laws of the land and says what goes and when not pleased uses all the means in their power to influence. The basic functions of the United States government are listed in the Constitution. Due to the immense power of our federal government, people often argue that it is too powerful and should be lessened. Sub further the state governments use a sum of power to do the same. There has been an effort to shift power from the federal government to the states. This country was founded with the attempt to separate the federal government and the state government, known as federalism. The goal of federalism is to divide the power of state and federal governments, protect the rights of the state, and prevent tyranny of the majority. Throughout the years, federalism turned into dual federalism where the state and federal government were completely independent of each other and only shared a dependency on the Constitution. The Department of Defense, one of the oldest and largest government agencies in the U.S.. What do you know about this particular department? This department was created in 1789 for after some much needed reorganization and construction. The Department of Defense is currently led by the Secretary of Defense along with Deputy of Secretary. The Department of Defense’s military affair defended the U.S. in wars such as World War One and Two and others. Although, this department does a lot of good in securing this nation it seems there is still a lot of controversy over this department. Some people have a problem with their spending considering America is already trillions of dollars in debt, there are much more other controversial issues with this department too. As a prison warden, it is one’s duty to manage and oversee the everyday activities of correctional facility staff, to ensure safety and security of the facility, and to make sure inmates are treated properly (Prison, 2018). A warden’s job is so complex that they are many times aided by assistant wardens, for the purpose of lightening their workloads. Often, they deal with common issues such as food complaints and lack of proper medical care availability. It is important that these types of problems are resolves before they escalate. The Authoritarian, Democratic, and Laissez-faire management style are all management styles that can potentially be a solution to fixing issues within a prison facility.
