ABSTRACT
Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) is a new notion of public convince, which is safe, rapid, economical, convenient in Indian framework. In India 150 series and more BRTS are running which in turn will accomplish our purpose of: Reduction in traffic and fuel costs, environment development, economic progress etc. There are many successful examples of bus transport system but few are noticeable like Beijing, Bogota etc. In Indian context Ahmedabad BRTS has proven to be a very successful example. India being an fastest growing economy and also, the 2nd highest population consisting country must take urban transportation into consideration as to reduce traffic congestions from the roads which in turn affects so many factors which we will

Ahmedabad BRTS is still under implementation process since 2006. CEPT team has been set up specifically for the designing of detailed system and support for the construction during implementations of BRTS.
Within Ahmedabad the BRTS development has been identified covering about 155 kms on road (in length). Existing AMTS (Ahmedabad Municipal Transport Service) and earlier proposed metro plan committee has analyzed the travel demand patterns by passengers, frequently used road networks for travelling purpose within Ahmedabad and factors like socio-economic, pollution etc. have been taken into consideration for BRTS planning and implementation. This way these corridors were selected for running BRTS schedule (Time frame and frequency of buses) at various bus stops.
Today Ahmedabad has an area of 466 sq. kms where 6 million of population resides and around 2.7 million vehicles are running on road out of which 2 wheelers are 73%. After looking at all these factors BRTS has been scheduled so that it can run efficiently. Bus take trips of 0.9 million/day and length is 5.8

Running Mostly on time and APIS (automated passenger information system) has made and brought up Ahmedabad BRTS as a shining example. BRTS in Ahmedabad has been running so smoothly that some experts say that is Delhi could run BRTS in the same way they could have save around 150 crores annually. BRTS is more economical and financially feasible than a metro.
REDUCTION IN TRAFFIC:
According to (land transport authority) LTA the vehicle population growth rate lowered down to 1.0% to 1.5% in 2012 and .5% in 2013-14.
This indicates that there is need to reduce traffic on roads in India which is very essential to reduce air pollution, accidental deaths & injuries and many more social, environmental and economic factors.
Looking at the data below we can clearly figure out that after the launch of BRTS in 2009 accidents and injuries have significantly gone down to an extent, which proves that it is very important to reduce traffic congestions from the roads.
After 2009 launch of BRTS, if we take a look at the below given data of total vehicles on road, comparative study of each preceding year is showing that since 2009-08 the on road traffic has not increased as much as much as its previous years it was
The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater is compelling nonfiction following a real story about two teenagers who faced the consequences of a life-altering crime. In 2013, an assault, considerably a hate crime, took place on a city bus in Oakland, California involving an agender teen, Sasha, and a black teenager, Richard. With ample detail, Slater describes the lifestyles of both characters, such as how Richard didn’t grow up in the best environment but was still a good person. Sasha, on the other hand, was constantly surrounded by supportive people; they were named Luke at birth, but decided it didn't apply to them correctly and identified as agender. While riding home on the bus, Sasha falls asleep and Richard, not intending the harm that occurred, lit
The building of the Canadian Pacific Railway was a very significant event in the development of Canada. It was important for the development of the West, which there was no easy way to get to. It benefitted the Canadian economy, allowing it to flourish and grow into what it has become today. Lastly, it allowed for unification of Canada as one whole country.
These skyrail busses quickly transport those who need to get places. They focus on efficiency while still keeping the tourists happy. Getting our citizens from place to place quickly and safely was a main
Throughout the Civil War, as well as the 1860’s as a whole, it was evident that United States was sparsely growing, in industrial goods, the production of agriculture, and the spread of settlements. At this time, the United State’s population was more than double than its previous period. At this time the United states population was Approximately 31,443,321 million citizens (Joseph C. G. Kennedy, The Eight Census; 1864). In this time period we see most of the United State’s economical growth coming from the Midwest as well as the Northeast. As for the South, they remained rather agricultural, due to the desire of one of the biggest crops to ever support the United States, Cotton.
Intro The 57 Bus takes place in Oakland, California where a black teenager named Richard burned an innocent teen because his friends thought it would be a funny joke to pull on someone they didn't even know. The victim was Sasha Fleischman who was agender (gender nonconforming). Richard and Sasha's lives are changed for forever . My inquiry question is can someone's sexual orientation be considered a hate crime in court?
Matthew Delmont’s book challenges us to rethink the history of “busing,” Delmont intentionally places in quotation marks to show its importance . Before Brown v. Board of Ed in 1954, riding the bus was only for white children. School integration movement headed up North during the 60’s, and white people did not like this so they made the issue about busing. This allowed white people to stop school integration and use different terms to not sound racist or bigoted. Delmont examines how the media went along with this new racist idea.
Bombardier started their business with snow vehicles to help people travel across Canada’s snow covered roads in 1937. In 1971, they entered into railway business by manufacturing rail technologies. They introduced a new rail technology called ECO4 that helps products optimize energy use, decrease energy waste, minimize CO2 emissions, increase economic value, and improve overall efficiency and total train performance in 2008. Bombardier trains add competitive advantages against rival companies in the market, while serving consumers with an energy efficient product. They have a technology called MITRAC which is a magnet motor that is eco-friendly and, cost efficient.
Persuasive speech I would like to start off by asking a question. How many of you have driven a car over the speed limit on the freeway? Ok and out of those hands how many of you have been pulled over or involved in some type of vehicle accident? As a guy who is very interested in racing cars I have spent a huge chunk of my time to research that increasing speed limit for safety is valid I hope today to persuade you on why the United States should increase the speed limits on freeways not just to have the cops back off a little but to reduce accidents that happen on freeways. Today I will talk about the complications of such low speed limits and why higher is better,
In Hannah Greendale’s review about The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater, she argues about how the transgender community or those who identify as agender are being mistreated. She writes her review base off of a sociological lens. One of the main characters struggles with there sexuality while the other one is presented differently due to his race. Sasha is the name of one of the characters, and she identifies as neither male nor female. Sasha was born as a male named Luke, but as she grew up, she realized that she enjoyed wearing skirts instead of clothing that boys would typically wear.
Technological innovations, such as the transcontinental railroad in the United States, forced society to reevaluate the role of government. The most obvious repercussion of the construction of the railroads in America is the control of ecosystem services such as land and agriculture. Railroads were sloppy; they did not care for where they were placed, unless it maximized profit; it did not care for the impact on society and it blurred the lines of government intervention in public and private enterprises. Thus, the transcontinental railroad transformed the political system by creating a modern corporate lobby.
The Transportation Revolution in the U.S. was a time of economic and social growth because it encouraged Americans to look beyond their local communities. The Revolution increased the economic benefits one could reap from producing goods by providing a more efficient way to move goods from one area to another by using canals or railroads. The Revolution in the mid 19th century also connected the East to the West, allowing for faster movement of goods from point A to point B. Before the 1820’s, many farmers produced what they needed to in order to be self-sustaining, meaning trade was minimal and there was little interaction between different areas of the U.S. The Transportation Revolution changed this, providing a commercial economy people
n Dashka Slater’s 57 Bus, Richard, Sasha, and Jerry show that people can change their personalities through the forgiveness of past actions. The story begins slowly with a young person named Sasha who is an agender human being. While going on the 57 Bus, her skirt gets lit and her skin gets burned. Richard is a 16-year-old teenager who is dumb, but not stupid. He makes many mistakes in his lifetime.
After reviewing the case of Nathaniel Belanger and Swift Transportation Incorporation Belanger was terminated for violating one of the “Forbidden Five” in the safety policy in driving tractor trailer. The “Forbidden Five” consist of driver fatigue, substance abuse, speeding and failing to adhere to the rules of the road, failure to properly inspect and maintain trucks, and improperly loaded trucks. In this case study paper, I will be evaluating the incident which leads to Belanger termination, the judges’ verdict on the case, and my opinion on the case. Here is the thing that occurred that brought about the instance of Belanger v. Swift
Transportation is one of the leading factors in the growth and furthering of our society and America as a whole. From the settlers in wagons to the average people of today in fancy cars and buses. The expansion of transportation and the technology advancements we have made throughout history have improved the rate at which America is able to urbanize. In 1758 the first ever rail road was placed, however they didn 't truly take as they were only a cheap way to transport coal and was mostly a privately owned rails.
Another important issue that even students get late to their school and everything will not be in time. Congestion always happens when people go and come from work so employs play a big part in congestion and it happens especially in big cities as the streets are big and people have their own cars not like towns or villages. In big cities, people prefer to use more their own private cars than using public transport but in towns they prefer the public transport. So, in big cities there will always be traffic jam as there are so many private cars in the street. When cars are banned then the traffic jam would disappear and people will be able to arrive in time and won’t affect
