In the last few weeks during my internship at Dillard’s, the managers have covered the topics of how the company creates and communicate its messages. They explained how emails, meetings, and documents help distribute information from corporate down to the employees and vice versa. I found that written communication is the most prominent form of communication at Dillard’s. The electronic mailing system through Dillard’s intranet is the primary means of delivering messages among employees. Corporate has standards, quotas, rules, sales and price adjustments that arises daily in this retail environment.
1) Give me a general description of your job. She is a vending machine supervisor whose duties consist of making sure the vending machines are fully functional and are full of items for purchases. I would say the majority of today’s society in America, are in service work. Some service work includes education, entertainment, banking, construction, legal services, media, restaurants (including fast food), retail, and health care. These jobs help the community and society continue on. Our jobs collaborate together every day and we are dependent of each other.
Have you ever processed in your mind about what the word "business" means? Business is a broad word and can be used in a multitude of ways. Millions of people currently interact or work in some area of business. When you think of someone working for a business, it is assumed that each employee in the company or corporation has an important role to play in continuing to keep the business moving. Without employees or workers, many businesses wouldn't be able to run functionally.

Local unions are hundreds of Teamsters local unions across North America. The local unions and their members are the heart and backbone of the union. Teamsters union structured to promote strong local unions, and strong local leaders. The locals unions negotiate most Teamster contracts and provide most of the services to the members, so they collect and keep most of the dues ' money. The members of each local union elect their officers, devise their structure, and vote on their bylaws, compatible with the International Constitution and Bylaws.

This requires common tasks to be carried out down on the shop floor like the checkout assistants which is there for the customers to pay for their products they want to purchase. The general assistants are experienced in many skills linking to stocking shelves and checkouts for the greatest amount of availability of products for the customers. Also stock control is a type of customer service that Sainsbury’s have. So the stock control is where the level of stock are checked daily and were the employees will order more products when needed.
