We can see that in this experiment the accuracy is quite high as the results support the same theory as previous experiments that have undergone similar methods and tested this question. However, there were quite a few weaknesses within this experiment that resulted in low precision as well as low reliability.
We can see through the uncertainty calculations that there were high uncertainties with each result and the highest of the uncertainties from the total uncertainties came from the uncertainty of the wavelength of the light used within this experiment, as there was a high uncertainty value when using the light. However, we can see that the standard deviation is also very high as there is quite a large range for the results for each increment of the independent variable. The standard deviation value is also higher than the value for the total uncertainty for the equipment used in this experiment, signaling …show more content…

This is a random error in the method as it could cause results to shift both up and down.
The carbon dioxide concentration would also fluctuate as not enough of the baking powder was added to the solution so the carbon dioxide concentration in the water would become a limiting factor, causing the plants that were photosynthesis very quickly to use up all of the available carbon dioxide dissolved in the water and thus slowing down the rate of photosynthesis later on in the experiment. This is a systematic error as it would shift the results down as there are less bubbles produced when there is a lack of carbon dioxide available to the
