II. Introduction Our group conducted an interview with the owner of Café de Casia which is Miss Katherine Joyce Maglalang to gather all the information we need to form and construct a marketing plan that will help the business obtain and maintain customers for the long run. The goal of the marketing plan is to make the newly operating business to be competitive enough to maintain its customers. And to know how we could help the business to improve, we started to study how environmental forces like political-legal, economic, socio-cultural and technological forces affects the operation of the business in the present and on how it will affect the business in the future. We designed a SWOT Analysis or Matrix to know and understand the business’ strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. Sociocultural Forces- It is a common fact that nowadays café or coffee shops are getting a lot in numbers, unlike before there are only few coffee shops that are known where in adults are the only target market. But as businesses wants to supply the increasing changes on demands of the customers, café or coffee shops started to extend their products in a way that they could be able to accommodate the needs of the whole family in all ages. 4. Technological Forces- Years ago coffee shops only sells coffee/s and some pastries that would fit in the taste of their coffees, while nowadays coffee shop/s are also having a product that doesn’t suit their main product. It is for them to make difference with their competitors. The adding of product line/s can also make their customers satisfied and feel convenient. The café might also improve its business by providing websites that answers all the queries and providing information for customers.
