In a case before the Calcutta High Court , where a teenager boy committed suicide over the matter of his failed relationship and negligence on the part of his parents, the Court is of opinion that, on the verge of adolescence, it is depressing to deal with the failed relationship, where it is normal to expect love, care and support from the parents and family. The victim was beaten up by some goons after he tried to convince the girl to save the relationship, which made him feel scared and hopeless. His parents knew about his failed relationship before the assault happened, and he also informed them about the assault which he faced not only to his parents, but 8-9 more members of his extended family. Isha Vs. State, before The High Court of Delhi , a shameful and horrifying fact came up before the Court that a minor child of 9-10 years who had both of the parents divorced and remarried to different persons. She had no idea where her mother lived, used to live with her grandparents before she was taken by his biological father to his house where he used to live with his second wife. The step mother used to beat her up regularly, and the father did not try to prevent and rather beat her up for a trivial issue like losing her chappal. One night she fled to the neighbours and disclosed that her father caused some dirty thing with her ('Usne Mere Saath Zabardasti Galat Kaam Kiya') by removing her salwar, immediately the neighbours called the Police. It was also proven in the medical test, and in the witness given by the doctor who conducted the medical test the fact came out that the poor kid was raped by her own father 4-5 time for a period of 11-12 days prior she informed the neighbours. The Court convicted the father with deterrent punishment and is of opinion that it is really shameful that a father who is suppose to be the protector and support, has caused a lifetime harm to the daughter which will always be a hindrance in her way to enjoy a peaceful and happy life in
The Duke lacrosse case implicated criminal actions of: first degree rape, first degree sex offenses’ and kidnapping charges against three Duke University lacrosse players; Collin Finnerty, Reade Seligman and Dean Evans (North Carolina State Bar v. Nifong, 2007,p.18-20). According to Mosteller (2007) the case started with “gang rape allegations” by Crystal Mangum, a black exotic dancer who was also a student at North Carolina Central University on the morning of March 14th, 2006 (p.1337). The alleged rape occurred during the Duke lacrosse teams’ party at 610 North Buchanan Blvd (North Carolina State Bar v. Nifong, 2007,p.1). Suspiciously Mangum could not make any identifications of her attackers even after viewing most Duke lacrosse team members including the names mentioned above and the lacrosse team members who actually lived at 610 North Buchanan Blvd (Mosteller, 2007, p.1407). Mosteller (2007) also mentions that Mike Nifong had to know that
The dilemma the court system faces is whether the priest should be forced to testify in court or if he shall be allowed to keep silent in accordance to his seal of confession. By forcing the priest to testify, this would allow for the truth to exposed about what happened between the girl and the abuser. Father Bayhi would also be acting as a witness to the case because the girl told him in confidence about what she had been experiencing, thus proving the now dead abuser’s guilt or innocence. By allowing the priest to keep his seal of confession, it would allow the priest to keep his seal of
On June 14th, 1920 Sandra Teal went to the fair that was in town with her boyfriend Robert Walsh, and later that night she claimed six black circus workers raped her. The report of the rape was called in early morning of June 15th by Robert Walsh’s father. There was little to no evidence to support these claims and an examination of Sandra by Dr. David Graham, a family physician, showed no physical signs of rape or assault. Six black men were arrested that day and immediately brought to the Duluth police station. As news spread around Duluth about what allegedly happened, a mob started to form and by the time the mob decided to force its way into the police station estimates had the mob as large as ten thousand people.

According to Jenny’s book, she focuses on the medical factors and process to help account for child maltreatment. First, she focuses on the practitioner’s needs to concentrate on the minor and major signs and symptoms of abuse, and if there is any of the child’s welfare services needs to be informed. Moreover, the doctors need to administer the perfect treatment for the kid, and also without the presence of the parents or guardians. Also, there is to be a thorough investigation of the offender's historical activities, for example, his or her religious beliefs, sexual patterns, and biomechanics syndromes. Finally, the only option for the medical attendants’ needs to do after gathering such evidence is to submit them to the American Board of Pediatrics to await

The concept of criminal failure to act is an interesting one in that in the one hand it tries to make persons to be orally and ethically responsible for the common good, on the other hand it attempts to restrict or stop criminal liability in situations in which the defendants have no control over (Sistare, 1989). The concept advocates for the understanding that the failure by someone to act in a particular situation results in the cat tagged as omission. In the case of the Sandusky rape case at the Penn State University; there have been debates on whether or not the Assist Coach McQuery was justified not take action by preventing his senior, Sandusky form molesting r raping the boy (Sistare, 1989). However, as the debate rages on, it is critical
