Abstract— The paper presents a Customer Assistance Mobile Manipulator Robot (CAMbot) that can be used in super markets and shopping malls. It assists customers by helping them find the required products with the help of a user interface , identifying commodities in shelves using a RFID tagging system, helping the customers to navigate through the store using built in maps stored in the robotic memory and helping them to pick and place the commodities using its robotic arm.
Index Terms— Retail Robots, Robotic User Interface, RFID tagging system
I. INTRODUCTION
Service robots are going to be the new attraction in super markets and big stores in a few years. The customer assistance robots will guide customers through the shop, recommend products, gives detailed descriptions regarding each product. Also it act as a shopping companion to the elderly and even help in maintaining stocks up to date. Recently many works have been going

II. BLOCK DIAGRAM
The Fig 2 shows the block diagram of the developed system.
The entire system can be subdivided into 5 major sub units namely: The processing unit, User Interface, Navigation system, RFID tagging system and the Robotic Arm. Each of the subsystems is explained in detail in the following sections.
A. PROCESSING UNIT
It contains a laptop that act as a central processing unit. It controls all other subsystems. It accepts input from the camera and also controls the navigation system and the manipulator. The User Interface also runs in the processing
It supports family safety settings, which means with the help of this we can keep track of our kids. Like of internet users and we can also make access of certain websites only. In addition to this window 8 also update automatically.
Back side of the system unit: * Serial port: it is a general-purpose interface that can be used for almost any type of device, including modems, mouse or keyboard. * Parallel port: It is usually used for connecting PC to a printer. * USB port: It is a plug and play port on your pc. With USB, a new device can be added to your computer without additional hardware or even having to turn the PC off. A single usb can be used to connect to 127 peripheral devices.
Components Computers have one or a lot of big or small R-A-M chips inside. RAM chips are a random access memory chip inside, the computer uses it to store information that will be used anytime or used to store something like the copy clipboard(The copy clipboard is the thing that stores what you copy to paste later) to delete/change later. There is also a spinning or solid state hard drive that uses DVD like disks that stores information like your video games, pictures, or other things. A CPU is the thing that your computer uses to do all the processing work, like our brain but not like it. CPU stands central-processing-unit.
There was a person hiking a mountain trail in a national park. The man was weighted down with luggage, so he had to make frequent stops on the mountain. The next time he went hiking, he brought his RedBot® Roamer, so all he had to carry was a remote. The Roamer will carry all heavy and light items. A Redbot®, is a robot that a person can code to do various actions.
It allows the user to interact with the computer in a sophisticated way such as managing files.
The device is an Asus Computer. The desktop is red and glows light blue. The monitor is a big Acer screen. Two speakers are placed left and right of the monitor. The keyboard sits parallel to the monitor.
One of the reason for creation of this tagger was the availability of publicly available accurate multilingual and domain independent temporal tagger for extraction and normalization of temporal expression. Heideltime developed to fulfill the following requirements. A. Extraction and normalization should be of high quality. B. High quality results should be achieved across domain.
Now all of the subsystems have their respective schematics and diagrams and an easy to follow system
The PS/2 ports on the system allow for keyboaerd and mouse functionality to be availible. The optional CD-ROM and floppy disk drive aloow the user to decide how memory is used on the device. There is also a internal and external compact flash slot.
is in one place which is the file server. These machines still have a monitor, motherboard, network card, keyboard and mouse. It loads up the operating system from the network instead of a hard drive. Use of backup The backup is when we take a copy of files or system to store it.
The author's purpose in writing “Robot Invasion” was to represent the effectiveness and relevance of robots in today’s society. The author is able to persuade the reader that robots are beneficial to society by stating statements such as “the robots will be able to unleash a productive boom”. This statement from the author really exemplifies the positive impact that robots have on our everyday lives by making our everyday tasks easier and having robots be the productive
Due to automation and robotics, around five million jobs exist with 300,000 people estimated to already be employed in industrial robotics.
A world of robots working in factories, markets, schools, companies, and limited amount of work space for humans that’s what is going on. The things we saw in movies and what we were dreaming is all becoming reality. Recently, technology has been improving in a very rapid pace. Technology, such as smart phones, tablets, and television, made our lives easier and more convenient. Now people can click a button and deliver food or items they want anywhere.
Accessibility is a concept that essentially applies to the customization of products, services, appliances and environments in a way that enables them to be used by people who have various types of disabilities. Effectively speaking, these products and services are designed in such a manner that enables people with special needs to gain both ‘direct’ as well as ‘indirect’ access to them. At the same time, the benefits of accessibility also extend to a wider category of individuals such as senior citizens and medical patients. Assistive technology is a term that is closely associated with the concept of accessibility. For instance, the application of assistive technology is what makes electronic equipment such as computer screen readers accessible to all categories of end users, including those with disabilities or special needs.
Many jobs have become easier by being replaced by robots. Robot are not just the idea of talking mechanical parts as we see in futuristic movies. There are a variety of different types of robotic machines, great majority of them appear in factories and in science technology work fields. Robots in factories help replace a dangerous parts of a job. However, there have been different perspective with robots replacing jobs.
