A basic understanding of Camera and Photography for amateur enthusiasts
When do we come across the word 'Camera' or' Photography' what comes to mind first? A camera is a device through which we take pictures. And Photography is the art of taking pictures. But anyone has ever thought what exactly is the process of taking a photograph or how a camera helps to take a photograph? Let me simplify it; how we see an object we know that light is everywhere and the light reflects the object (its shape, colour, size)and you see the object. If you think very critically then you will find that every object whatever we see absorbs light and that light is reflected to our eyes and captured in our brain so we able to see objects around us and thus we

For professional photography and videography, we only need to understand and concentrate more on DSLRs and video cameras. Before going into more details on camera, I want to give a simple understanding of the Sensor which is most crucial part of a camera. The sensor detects the signal or information and passes. The sensor in a camera is like the retina of our eye it absorbs the light from the object and sense it. Similarly, a sensor in camera absorbs light of the image and pass it to us in an electromagnetic wave as image. CMOS (Complementary metal oxide sensor) is the modern high technology sensors widely use in DSLRs and video cameras. The standard size of the sensor is 36mmX24mm this is also known as full frame format mostly used for photography stills this is also known as full frame size equal to the width of 35mm film. Video cameras have the super35 sensor, this is mainly known as the motion picture film format. The film size of super35 is approximately 24.89mmX13.45mm, but the effective sensor of one camera brand or series may differ from other brand and series. Film-makers use this type of sensors mainly to maintain the same look of cinema at the
A photograph is more than just a simple image; it tells a story. A story beyond a particular moment in time, it holds secrets and memories. The eagerness to comprise a moment in the perfect shot seems to become an obsession for many. In Kim Edwards ' novel The Memory Keeper 's Daughter, Edwards uses photography as a motif which coincides with the novel 's idea of secrets. David Henry, the antagonist of the novel, becomes fascinated with photography after choosing to give away his daughter and compresses his guilt with photography.
In the essay, “ Why We Take Pictures,” the author Susan Sontag states that photography is not only a simple tool for seeking pleasure but can also be used against anxiety and as tool of power. Sontag emphasises the importance of photography during traveling by stating the anxieties that people can face if they are not taking pictures. First, Sontag points out that people feel disorientation in a new place the uncertainty of what the new place will be like can cause people to panic. However, taking picture enables people to have certain control over the new environments the fact that one knows where he or she is at and where he or she has been, helps individuals cure their anxieties. Second, Sontag indicates that anxieties during traveling can also be caused by the guilt of not being at work.
Photographs are works of art that capture moments in time. They’re important because they document instances, which can later complete or create history. Looking at a photograph one is immediately intrigued. After studying the composition of the photo its meaning comes to mind, one begins to wonder why such a photo was taken. The overall meaning will have different effects depending on the viewer, but one must wonder again.
Writing is not just about coming up with ideas and jotting them down on paper saying that it is your story because if it is then it is half done, and readers would not want to read what you have to say about how you feel on an experience that you have explored. Writing is about going through experiences and jotting those experiences down on paper and putting them in order so that the reader can understand what experiences you went through to get to the point that you have come to. Writing is a way to write you feel and to make it easy so that you do not have to speak what is on your mind. In my opinion writing can be my favorite thing to do because I like to write but when it comes to me speaking, I get nervous and do not know what to say when I get in front of a crowd. Writing can also be a way to get out of things such as if you want to break up with someone, tell your parents something that is bad that you do not want to tell them in person, talk to a doctor in a message just in case if your friends are

How often do you sit down and take the time to write? A lot? Almost never? You might be saying close to never and telling yourself there 's no need to be writing on a daily basis. However, that may be the case because you haven 't taken a deep look into all the reasons for why writing is so essential.
Digital cameras have twelve megapixel, or greater image sensors and manual exposure settings. In addition, digital cameras have the option of automatic or programmed exposure modes. There are numerous factors involved in the quality of digital photographs when selecting equipment, such as close-up capabilities, availability of accessories and even printer used to print the digital photograph. With the advancement in technology, digital cameras are more common and have become easily more accessible and cost efficient than film cameras. Once the pictures are
It is important to study something in school that you enjoy but that is also useful in the real world. I have always been asked, “what's your major?”. I would answer art history and always got a response like, “what are you going to do with that?”. Most parents and students don’t feel that there is a good foundation from learning Art History. It is often heard from high school and college students (influenced by their parents) that to succeed you must major in science, technology, engineering, or business.
1.2 Statement of Significance Art can do lots of things that can create powerful and great changes in ourselves. Artist is someone that is so hard to read if we fail to understand them to interpret the underlying meaning behind their painting because it is their getaway to express their emotions and desires to the community. To accomplish this, the artists are communicating with the society by delivering their messages through their artworks.
We are able to see things because the light reflected by an object pass through our eye, it goes to the retina, and then reaches our brain. It is essentially a reflection. It will be there as long as we look at it. After the subject is removed, it doesn 't immediately leave, it 's dims.
Why is writing important? Writing is an important skill to learn and enhance. Writing allows a person to be able to express their thoughts and ideas on to a piece of paper. Writing allowed me, even from a young age, to be able to express myself. Writing allowed me to add my thoughts and feelings on to a piece of paper.
When pictures are taken it’s a moment being captured; a moment that can be either sentimental or influential. Photos have a substantial impact on the things people see or do. It’s also a visual learning tool that helps non-verbal people communicate.
Indirect perception implies that it is not actually of the environment itself but a cognitive representation of the environment that we percieve, assembeled by and existing in the brain. It is by the process of construction in which our seneses consult memories of prior experience before delivering a visual interpretation of the visual world. It argues that there is no direct way to examine objects that is independent of our conception; that perception is
Creativity can be defined as the willingness to be courageous, adventurous, daring and to try new things. Creative people take risks and produce some of the best ideas. When designing and making, creative work is likely to bring about original knowledge which will incur risk taking. Innovation and risk taking are skills that are close together, everyone that knows it have to deal with creating something new everyday. Being creative does not only involve the study of art, which is how it has been perceived through the years.
Has people's use of Photoshop gone too far? Is altering photos to make people unrealistically skinny a good idea? For years, many photos in magazines, advertisements, etc. have been altered, making models and celebrities blemish free and thin. But in some cases of retouched photos the outcome can be horrific, making the person very unprofessional and disturbing. But making models thinner than they actually are can have bad effects on the public.
