The Campus Activity Board usually sponsors and puts together bingo on the last Thursday of every month. On the night of October 26th from eight o’clock to nine o’clock they had bingo in the cafeteria as usual, and the big prize that night was an apple watch. I have not won anything so far in bingo, and that night was no exception. I was, however, one of the first three people standing for blackout bingo when we were trying to win the grand prize, and that was pretty cool. I did not think that bingo would be such a big event here on campus but it is one of the most popular things on campus. It regularly gets a high turnout and many students are invested in it for the food, prizes and people there. I really enjoy it and have not missed one yet, this time …show more content…
What college student does not like free stuff? Though the announcer is really what makes it great with the things he says and does and he also does a good job of keeping it to a reasonable noise level, though I do not know his name. It does get a little boring sometimes near the end though, with most of the prizes that people want having been given away earlier in the night and chances for winning the big prize are low. People get a little down and disappointed at that point and conversations die. Although, it does usually end soon after that so it is not a big deal. Altogether, bingo is a great thing for the University of Mount Olive to have. It is a great and huge social event on campus and it is safe and fun too. Seeing everyone from all different years and majors all in the same room with one common goal is a really amazing thing and makes me glad that I go to a small school where this is possible. At a large school you would not be able to do this, there are too many people for that and it would be too big and loud. I am just really glad that, as a school, we are able to do
P1 Explain the issues organisations must consider when planning computer systems maintenance The issues that organisations must consider when planning a computer system are as follow; Employee and Employer Responsibilities - It is the Cortex’s’ responsibility to make sure the employee is allowed to have scheduled breaks when they require them. As part of their contract they also have to provide the employee with the correct ergonomic equipment so they can do their job and work efficiently, this means that the employee is more effective and reliable when working from their desk as they have the correct equipment. Employees also have a responsibility this is making sure they use the business network entirely for work related purposes and not for downloading anything that infringes the contractual agreement they have in place this is known as the Acceptable Usage Policy. Cortex is also protected by the Computer Misuse Act.
The history of red ribbon week Red Ribbon Week started after the brutal murder of a drug enforcement officer. It is to prevent people from using drugs. The DEA started the organization in 1985. DEA stands for drug enforcement administration.
Historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) are institutions of higher education in the United States founded primarily for the education of African Americans. Prior to the mid-1960s, HBCUs were virtually the only institutions open to African Americans due to the vast majority of predominantly white institutions prohibiting qualified African Americans from acceptance during the time of segregation. As such, they are institutional products of an era of discrimination and socially constructed racism against African Americans (Joseph, 2013). Successfully, millions of students have been educated in spite of limited resources, public contempt, accreditation violations, and legislative issues. The purpose of this research paper is to discuss

The world, as well as ourselves, can become confident. I will encourage scholarship, leadership, and good citizenship with my school and community. With my hardwork, not only shall I benefit, but all that I help shall be benefited as well.
Our community has always played a major part in the athletic depart of our school. Every year they hold a pie auction, where pies can go for up to $700. A community tradition that is not associated with the school is the County Fair. It is always more of a social gathering than anything else. People will always asking “if you have been to get a greasy fair burger”.
Many white women worked in Freedom Schools established by SNCC, because of the danger they would have faced working in the field. Freedom schools were originally established to teach African American high school students lessons in history and other subjects, because the education they received from public schools was not very good. They originally had a curriculum, but it was hard to follow. SNCC volunteers were not teachers and did not know about every topic. One staff member said to the volunteers, “You’ll meet on someone’s lawn under a tree.
We met as group again last week with Dan and had discussed moving our simulation to the soccer field and having the event there instead. Then as a group we came up with the idea of having a pizza party after the simulation for everyone who had joined the event. Our new plan has been formed and more thought out and will be happening next week on the turf soccer field at USM and our group has made and hung flyers to get people aware of the event. Some of our members will also be going with Dan Welters and getting supplies for our simulation and Dan will order the pizzas for everyone after. The event will be held during National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week on Tuesday the 17th starting at 8pm and going until
Looking back, I remember one time in fourth grade when the teachers made me stay inside from recess because I did not finish my assignment. I was so disappointed and jumpy all day. Sadly, schools today are so worried about being the best and getting the best possible test scores on standardized tests that they overlook their students’ needs and desires, like having recess time. Although this may seem like a good idea, the students are not benefitting because their attention spans only last so long until they are no longer able to absorb any more information. For this reason, kids of all ages should have recess whether they like it or not because it is a great way to improve social skills, physical fitness, academic performance, and reduce
I loved this program, because it allowed me to get out there in my community and help give people with mental and/ or physical disabilities, live out there dream. From being a unified partner with their bowling team, to being a unified runner on their Track and field team, to just giving my time as a volunteer helping with the events logistics, it is one program, I am glad i'm affiliated
I love spending class periods and weekends with everyone. From walking to Dairy Queens and McDonalds to hearing about the interesting in round stories people have to sitting around the tables waiting for late rounds to get out and talking, I have so many incredible memories from this activity and want to help ensure others do as well. As
After attending this event, I 'm excited to go back. Going into the event, I wasn 't super thrilled because I was feeling a little tired and wanted to sleep but by the end of the event I was wide awake. I had so much fun that I was one of the last people to leave and took off around 9: 15 pm. It was a really fun event and it gave some good variety since the only other all-sign event I went to was the Everett Mall (and one of the last, if not the last, times it was at Starbucks). I think some growth that I 've noticed after attending this event is that I 've gotten back into a far more TSODM-y structure rather than the English-leaning one I slipped into over the summer.
The festival is ADA compliant and have special sign language interpreters. Each and every person can express themselves through dance, music, or fashion. A comedian has been booked for post prom and various activities, games and meals have also been discussed for this event. Our next meeting will be conducted on Tuesday, November 10th at 5:00 p.m. in the high school teacher’s lounge. We would love
Another interesting part was hearing from our advisor Dr. Mitchell her advice helped not only the general members but the E-board as well. What I did not like about the event was the attendance and location. It was the whole team’s job to promote the event but the promotion started only a day before the scheduled event.
