Most of the time when a teen makes a bad choice something gets broken, they screw up in class or hurt someone's feelings. Then their are kids who make a bad choice and someone gets killed. Teens should be tried as adults for felony crimes in order to rehabilitate, bring justice to the victims and to keep the streets clean of these threats. Some people can learn from their mistakes but some can not. According to “What is the Law in California?” written by the non-profit organization Campaign for Youth Justice, Proposition
I believe that the author should have gone into more details on strategies of explaining the risk of teenage drinking to their children. While this is so, I liked how the author kept going into detail about what happened if you were caught giving alcohol to teens. This really gave emphasis on how dangerous it really to try to do this. The fact that the author brought in the factor of death is a good scare tactic as well for adults, along with showing how high fines can get up to. All in all, this article was well written since it has much more pros than it had
These people might also believe that one someone does something bad there is no hope. These children might never mature or grow up. They will be the same each and every day, so releasing them from jail will just cause more trouble in the world. Hundreds of judges that are, mothers, fathers, husbands, and wives, are getting left with the tough decision. Should this juvenile be sentenced to life without parole.
Since the adolescent had got used to these violence, the publisher have to make it much violence than before. These violence movie will do long term effect on children and adults. For example, the people who see these movie a lot will start to think violence is right and violence can actually solve everything. The people will also started desensitization about the environment. These people will think the victim of violence are weak and show no care on them (Medved, 1992).
The Popish cruelties were a shocking eye opener to how people with power can hurt people just because they have a following. They would persecuted until they choose baptism or death, even if they converted the separation was still there. They would torture them by burning the accused, especially if believed to promote protestant faith. Many of the affected were muslims and jews because of their different religious views, that were killed unless converting. The hostility only grew higher especially in England until the law did not allow the torture of them as long as religious beliefs did not affect the throne.
During adolescence, there is an increase in the neurotransmitter dopamine which is responsible for pleasure in the reward system. This chemical can be abused by teens by engaging in risky behavior and making quick and easy decisions instead of taking the time to critically think (Seigel). The combination of risky behavior and reward is perilous and can lead down a dangerous path. Love and or spending time with other loved ones can also triggers the release of dopamine. Romeo and Juliet both make the decision to risk their futures by continuing to meet with each other in secrecy.
In an article published on CNN called, “Is Media Violence Damaging to Kids?” by Sasha Emmons, he believes the media violence is having a negative effect on the behavior of pre-teen children and suggests that parents need to do a better job of monitoring the type of movies, video games, etc. their kids are watching. Emmons quotes Michelle Garrison, an investigator at Seattle Children 's Research Institute Center for Child Health, Behavior, and Development who states that “if a child sees himself as the 'good guy, ' then anyone who disagrees with him must be a 'bad guy ' -- and this black-and-white thinking doesn 't leave much room for trying to see it from the other side.” When pre-teen watch violent movies or games with this notion of
The leaders deceive the members into believing that they belong and give them that feeling of being wanted. However, once the leaders have drawn them in enough, they demand all mental devotion or there will be consequences. Another researcher describes that if Ron [cult leader] felt like verbally harassing a member for not obeying or just simple because he was able to, he would and this was done by making he/she stand in front of a crowd and proclaiming what was wrong with that member (Gard). This statement proves that psychological abuse is real threat among religious cults. This is taken from an ex-cult member/ mental abuse survivor 's real account, and he states that this is just the beginning of the abuse.
As we know not all video games contain violent contents, but most of them are violent and mentally dangerous. Some researches admit that violent games may cause adolescents to become tremendous. Studies showed that video games increase psychological awakening, it could also increase aggressive behavior, emotions and thoughts and finally let teenagers lose the sense of helping others. All these effects will be carried by aggressive young people. It’s true that video games are violent, but aggressive adolescents are more likely to be more attracted to it.
Starting with the victim, they may be tortured, forced to convert religions, forced to abandon religion altogether, thrown in jail, or put to death. They may try to run away from the persecution, but usually that entails leaving their families behind with a high risk of getting caught and being put to death. The families of the persecuted are affected because they may need to endure the loss of a loved one by death, jail, or abandonment. Some families, such as ones in North Korea, cannot practice their faith at home, in fear that their children will expose their faith at school. Some children in North Korea do not learn that their family is Christian until their mid-late 20’s.
War and terrorism cause children to live in a toxic and violent environment, causing them to sometimes turn to violence and terrorism. Substance dependence and substance abuse cause an impairing of judgment and may cause those who are addicted to have a violent behavior when they do not get the substance on a daily basis. Darth Vader is an example of someone who turned to evil to help change his family’s fate, but ended up as a ruthless and hate-filled being. While people in these situations are inherently good and usually mean no harm, their situations and environment around them cause to act in a way where their inherent good becomes
As a result of putting a teenager in an adult court, the teen is exposed to more violence and abuse; it can force a teen to commit suicide and it does the same thing for adults however, teens are more susceptible. The only difference is that teens are more vulnerable, weaker, and less likely to defend themselves not because they do not want to but because they will eventually be overpowered. Why charge kids as adults? Kids are kids and they make bad decisions but so does everyone else. Mistakes should not be punished with an adult charge when there are thousands of programs to help teens make better choices.
