Spider-Man is a fictional character created by Marvel Comics, and as such, he does not have the same historical significance or impact on society as real life figures like Malcolm X. But Spider Man is a beloved character and has been a part of popular culture for many decades, he is not a real person who has made significant contributions to society. But I do have some reasons why I believe spider-man deserves a monument. Because he is such a huge part of popular culture, Spider Man deserves a monument.

Spider-man has faced many struggles, including personal loss and financial difficulties anyone who is facing challenges in their own lives can be inspired by how spider-man goes through all these challenges. An organization needs to be aware of the location, material, and historical memories in remembering an event or person and in the creation of a monument. Finding the proper location to create a monument and memorializing an event or person is very important to take in consideration to prevent disrespect towards the monument. Lee was a Confederate General during the Civil War. He fought for all of the slavery, Injustice, and oppression going on in America at that time. Many Americans already felt as if the statue was outdated and should be taken down. A common argument was that the Nazis took their statues and murals down later on in their history. That being said during the Black Lives Matter movement it was powerful to put graffiti on the statue.
It is a powerful view that distinguishes the difference between monuments and memorials everywhere everywhere. If you were to take these monuments down, then you are forgetting that something happened there that was at one point important enough to remember. The monuments serve as reminder of the events that took place in the south, and the people that were fighting for what they believed in. The people that are depicted in them fought honorably and are worth commemorating, even though they lost the war.

The most important factor in building a monument is making something that people will recognize and feel an attachment to.
Every human being should have a hero. Many people view heroes as a fictional cartoon character. For younger kids, Spiderman is their hero. People don’t need super strength nor super speed to be a hero. A hero is someone who changes a person life for the better.

Introduction I will be doing my Washington D.C Monument on Thomas Jefferson. I chose him because Thomas Jefferson did a lot of accomplishing things. All of these things shows how Thomas Jefferson is successful and accomplished a lot of superior things.

Many people were for taking the statue down and many against taking it down. One reason that the statue needs to be taken down is that this statue is an inaccurate representation of our past. Many people also focus on the money and how much it would cost to maintain the statue.
Spider-Man was created in the 1960s and was created to help nerdy teenage boys feel good about themselves. “Spider-Man was a regular teenage boy until one day he got bit by a radioactive arachnid he did not die of radiation sickness but he acquires the strength and agility of a spider as well as an uncanny spider sense” (Knowles 139). Spider-Man has a lot in common with Gene from A Separate Peace by John Knowles. Gene is a nerdy teenage boy like Spider-Man’s alter ego Peter Parker. Spider-Man can be compared or contrasted to many other heroes such as king, Arthur, Sir Gawain and Beowulf.
Spider-Man faced off against two of the Phoenix Five to make sure the Avengers could get to safety and finish their rescue mission. He barely got out alive. This shows that he put his comrade’s safety above his own. If it wasn’t for Spider-man’s selflessness, the rescue mission would have probably failed and the Avenger’s lives would be in even more
