Feud between the Capulets and Montagues Sunny Ou 9B Narrator: In the ancient city of Verona, there were two families called Capulets or Montagues. The Capulets were known for making fun of each other whereas the Montagues were known for dancing, dressing up and partying. The two families have never seen one another before this very day. Steven (Montague): Thomas, that shirt looks great on you. Thomas (Montague): Yes, I was just getting ready for the Lords’ party tonight. You do not look too bad yourself in that shirt either. In rage, of seeing two Montagues being slaughtered, the crowd lashed out all their anger at James. His body was later burnt and the Montagues vowed that they would hate the Capulets from them on. Hours later, Lord Capulet became slightly confused after his grandson James had not returned for hours. He went to the field where James was sent and explored the area. The ongoing conflict between the families of Montague and Capulet this Sunday morning has resulted in a civil brawl. Eventually resolved later by the Prince. The brawl was started when servants of the Capulets met the servants of Montagues in a public square. The Capulet servants made gesture of defiance against the Montagues.

Members of the Capulet and Montague families were fighting in the streets of Verona. Tybalt says,” What, drawn, and talk of peace? I hate the word/As I hate hell, all Montagues, and thee”(1.1.65-66). Tybalt has extreme hatred for the Montague family and will want to fight them. Tybalt played a very prominent role in the hatred between the Capuelt and Montague families.
