Weekly Self S.O.A.P - A. S- Discuss your SUBJECTIVE feelings for this week: This week I finished my rotation in the emergency room. I felt very comfortable in this unit. I was able to put to practice what I have been learning during lecture by triaging and assessing patients. I was able to work in the trauma area and in area 4, where they hold “non urgent” patients.

Our office welcomes patients with a calm, soothing lavender walls. Large windows with white draperies allow to let in natural lighting into the reception area. A large window is also located at the reception desk. Allowing the office staff to being able to keep open communication and also allow staff to visibly check on patients. Cream colored, cushioned chairs are available for seating as well as cream colored 2 loveseat sofas for the patients that would need a little extra seating.
They were resting a little after the medication and I had the computer on wheels moving around. This computer on wheels abbreviated, as ‘cow’ is very beneficial to the doctors since they move it with them, as they are moving around in the office. However, this computer on wheels was left on with a patients record and I was turned around to assist the next one. I was being observed when I am in this section of the center.
Basic Agility focuses on the pet’s strength, cardio and mind. The Pet Loss Support Group is one of the most popular services the Dubuque Regional Humane Society offers. With this program anyone can come in and get help to talk about their beloved animals that have passed away. The group meets every second Saturday to help anyone out who has lost their pet or animal.
It shows a radiology tech working with a patient. Before the inspections, the radiology tech reads the physicians’ notes about the patient. Once read the tech know where to do the inspection on the patient’s body. The surroundings of the room is painted all white, there is a table in the middle of the room for the patient to lay on, there is a window for the technician to watch the patient, and the great big machine that points directly over the patient. In for less radiation exposure, both the radiology tech and patient wear protective lead clothing.
Ultrasound technicians may work and consult with everyone from janitors and other medical staff to medical assistants, nurses, physicians and radiologists. A medical assistant, or the ultrasound tech them self will call the patient back, escort them to a changing room and instruct them on how to be ready, or how to wear a gown for the procedure. The medical assistant will guarantee all pre-exam procedures have been followed correctly. After ensuring the patient is ready for the exam, the medical assistant would then report to the sonographer that patient is ready. Nurses also work closely with ultrasound technicians and patients.

I completed the quality and safety checklist at five patients’ bedsides. Overall my fellow classmates did a good job at keeping the environment and their patients safe. There were only two things on the checklist that I had to intervene and express my safety concerns, and that was putting a sign outside the door for patients who are at risk for falls, and labeling the white board in patients’ room. The first thing I did was look through the charts of the patients to see which patients were on universal, level 1 (L1), or level 2 (L2) fall risk precautions.

Child Protective Services (CPS) was not fully enforce back in the day. The case of "Little Mary Ellen" led for there to be an act to protect child. They did not have a protect program established for children. "
After the rollercoaster of emotions Hearties experienced last Sunday I think we deserved a much lighter episode this week, which is exactly what we got! This episode, entitled Healing Heart, picks up two weeks after Jack left for the North. We find Elizabeth having mixed emotions. She is happy knowing that she is engaged to the love of her life, but of course is worried for his safety and anxious not knowing when he'll return. We are also introduced to some more new faces, we learn more about Abigail's new cook, and we add business woman to Rosemary's list of many talents.
Summary of Article 1 Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) is the inability of the heart to pump blood effectively throughout the body due to weakened heart muscles. Most of the aging population, regardless of the gender, often have this problem due compromised cardiopulmonary system. People who suffers from heart failure experience fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, and general debility. This affects how an individual performs his or her daily chores.
