I liked the transfer fair because it was at a convenient time for me and was laid-back. I could take my time learning about each school with no rush. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about transferring. It was beneficial to me and I learned new things about schools I’ve already been to. The transfer fair was a great experience for me and I am glad that I was able to attend
Volunteering is an opportunity to make a lasting contribution in the community. Through this rewarding experience, I not only gained my service hours, but I also was able to contribute a connection with the faculty. I could always go back to them for additional support or advice. Interacting with them enhanced my communication skills. Despite all of this, I noticed how much I enjoyed interacting with children and the faculty.
I feel like communication skills and being comfortable with many views are both great necessary qualities to have when dealing with a diverse college campus. I am very open minded and respect other people’s views even though they might not agree with my views. I possess great social skills and find myself very personable. I get along well with multiple different people which I think would be a great addition to the counseling team. While in college, I have demonstrated my
Based on the positive feedback from classmates, I know that my efforts to ensure my voice was loud and clear when speaking and that my words were articulate and easily understood, were successful. In retrospect I recognize that I could have improved on some of the content. If I were to do this presentation again I would focus on the complications that could occur if a patient’s UTI went unnoticed or was left untreated. My peers commented that additional visual aids such as diagrams or photos would have been educational and one student said additional activities would have been helpful. I was not completely satisfied with the activity, because in retrospect I believe that could have gone smoother
As a team member I was able to present myself and was able to put my views and ideas. This project helped me to understand myself better and I realised that I can work in any situation with anyone. I will always try to work in similar collaborative approach and try to improvise myself. It was a good learning opportunity for me. I have gained experience and skills from my teammates during the project.
This international experience helped me to improve my language and communication skills. Besides teaching, I got exciting opportunity to work as a research assistant. While working with experienced research professor I discovered my love and passion for research work. My work ethic earned commendations for the quality of my research work. I earned the reputation of being a good team player who is conscientious and hardworking.
This project was extremely rewarding not only in that we all got good grades, but also because we were able to overcome the challenge that the project presented us. I became very close friends with my group mates and I learned that working in a group can also create extremely strong
Our pact has also helped us because in difficult situations when one feels like giving up, we have the other who has a positive attitude and encourages the other to keep on
My confirmed profile is an ENFJ; this means that in business and school I am a very reliant and helpful individual. ENFJ possess a natural charm that can easily attract and befriend people. They are charismatic individuals and can be persuasive as well as motivational speakers. The extravert; meaning that they are able to speak freely and communicate well, As an ENFJ I tend to be more attracted to client facing roles or roles that allows me to be a first hand aid to clients. Such a position affords me great comfort and happiness when I realize the joy and gratitude of a client after a successful service delivery.
I think our group presentations are very successful, because each team member is involved, sharing their ideas, and doing a good job of completing the part that they are responsible for. Be more specific, in our speech, we encouraged each other, and everyone gave a good speech. The process of speaking is the same as we practiced, and we are happy to finish this task. In the PPT of our speech, there are few words on the slides, which are the main points, so that the audience can better know what is important. At the same time we added a lot of interesting pictures and GIF, video, games, and small tests.
I would like to become a Victory Viking Voice because I want to help assist and inspire others to success. From the moment the Victory Viking Voices came to give a presentation over Victory Early College to my middle school, I immediately felt adoration towards them. I thought to myself, that’s where I want to be one day. The Voices have had such an impact on my life since our first interaction. They motivated me to apply to Victory.
This past summer I interned for a judge, though that was a great experience, I know there is always room for improvement and being part of the Law Review would give me that opportunity. This work is for people passionate to serve and as a law student focusing on working with marginalized communities, I think this is a great opportunity to hone my skills and be connected to a body of people that share the same passion. CUNY Law Review Staff members seem to have a special bond which would benefit my overall experience as a law student. If given the opportunity to become a CUNY Law Review Staff member, I will bring the skills that I have obtained throughout my academic pursuits in addition to my work experience. I possess strong research skills as well as excellent organizational skills.
I also love helping that uncertain student through the challenges of the decisions they face. I have worked with so many school administrators who had different leadership styles. One of them was good for inspiring and motivation
I was honestly surprised how much I truly enjoyed The Misfits by James Howe. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the way that this story was written and the multiple topics that were discussed made this book one of my top favorites. This book could fit with so many different text sets due to the many topics that were discussed. This would be a great story for middle school students to read, because James Howe made Bobby so relatable. I personally really appreciated this book because of the positive view of being yourself and the impact of having friends who support you, regardless how “cool” or “uncool” they may be.
