After taking the all three assessment I was able to see what career fields would suit me best. As I turned out, the tests placed me in career fields that I had already thought about joining. The clusters place me in the medical or health services field, as well as working with children. These are all career fields that I have previously considered or am currently considering. It was very important to me to see that what I am studying for is actually something that I would and will do well in. Once I had finished all the tests, I was able to look through the career clusters and see which ones I considered for my top two choices, which were being a teacher’s assistant or a physical therapist. When I looked further into it, the career that interested me the most was Teacher Assisting. Being a teacher’s assistants meets what I value through having a good workplace, since I get to work with kids and it is something I love to do. There would be a sense of accomplishment seeing all when a child finally gets something that they are struggling on and the innovative challenge of coming up with new ways to present the same information so that each student gets the concept. In order to be in this career field I would need to have the abilities of oral comprehension and expression as well as be able to speak clearly and understand what someone is saying when they speak to me. Being in this career field means I would be supervising children in distinct places around the school environment. I would help students on their school assignments as well as evaluate their work whenever the head teacher needed me to do so. This career requires that I have at least a high school diploma and onsite training or an associate’s degree. The average salary for this career is approximately $24,430 a year. Physical therapy is a career that to me seems would be a very rewarding career. I would have the sense of accomplishment as I see my patients on the road to a better life after every day, also in this career I would have a very good income making approximately $82,390 per year. On top of that it is an innovative field since there are always new techniques and exercises that are developed to solve the same problem. The skills I would have to have in order to be a physical therapists I would have to be good at monitoring patients, be able to speak well and be an active listener so I can understand what the patients are telling me. In this field I would have to monitor the progress patients make as they go through the steps to being better, I would have to assess their general condition, process their healthcare papers amongst various other things. All my life I knew that when I grew up I wanted to choose a profession that involved helping change lives. When I was in high school I heard about occupational therapy. I knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. To become an occupational therapist, you must have many traits. You must be able to communicate well.
Being a physical therapist would be a good job because you get to help people that have problems with something relating to their body. Their job can be very hard since you are teaching a person how to do something again. If a person lost an arm they would have to go to a physical trainer to learn how to use a prostatic arm. Physical therapists provide care to people of all ages who have functional problems resulting from back and neck injuries, sprains, strains, fractures, arthritis, amputations, neurological disorders, such as stroke or cerebral palsy, injuries related to work or sports, and other conditions. To be a physical therapist you would have to be very patient because the patient is probably trying very hard to achieve their goal of getting better.

Using my post high school education, I plan to pursue a career in elementary education. As an elementary teacher, I hope to fill every day with joy and a love for learning, a love that I hope to pass onto my students. I love working and shaping young students minds. From a young age, I had an interest in working with children, I desire to be a school counselor and want to help them with their problems and be a mentor to them. I truly believe I have the experience and the personality to make this my reality. I started out college as an elementary education major, I had a passion for teaching, and completed 100+ hours of volunteering. I shadowed teachers and truly believed that teaching was my desired career path.

By having physical therapy it can prevent impairments, functional limitations, and disabilities that could possible result in different forms of diseases, disorders, conditions, or injuries. Also it can improve the limit that they have on their abilities to move and perform functional activities in their daily lives.
Ever Garrison once said “A teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom in the pupils.” I believe teaching is the most rewarding and important career I can choose to pursue. I want to be the person who brings out that shine in them and encourages them to succeed. The reward of seeing my students succeed and achieve their goals will make my entire preparation to becoming a teacher, worth it. Classic career development theories empathize the importance of fitting personal characteristics to the demands of the job. Self-knowledge is seen as critical to making the right career choices” (Broderick & Blewitt, 2015, p. 455). Super stages are called the growth stage, exploratory stage, establishment stage, maintenance stage, and the decline stage (Broderick & Blewitt, 2015, p. 455).
