Career Goals For College

My main academic goal is to achieve a degree in Meteorology and minor in Mathematics. The reason I choose to attend Florida State University was to excel in a top school for my major and become an independent person. Once I was accepted into Florida State, I was able to begin my track towards accomplishing this goal. The first step was moving away seventeen hours from my hometown, which was the push I needed to become independent. I may have struggled the first school year here at school, but my top priority is to exceed the expectation and push myself to gain a higher GPA. Double Major in Criminal Justice/Crime Scene Investigation With A Minor in Psychology and Early Childhood Education; I go to Liberty University. My dream job is to be a youth counselor for troubled youth. I don 't care about the pay I want to help and love what I do. It 's not always about money. I just want a career where I can help people! I 'd love to be a counselor for troubled youth, but my #1 is to be a crime scene investigator. I 'm on setting goals trying to achieve it.

When I decided to go community college, I knew that I would not be satisfied with only attaining an associate’s degree. It took me ten years to return to school, and I decided that I would make it the best experience of my life. Therefore, I set my goals high: I would work hard and apply to schools that I previously thought might just be a dream. Each school that I have chosen appeals to me for various reasons.

When I decided to come back to school after being in the military for the number of years I spent in the service it was very profound. After researching schools online, I found that American Public University System was one of the best choices I made in my educational career goal. I can honestly say that this experience has been great and I will not want to change anything about it. At first it was kind of difficult of me trying to get things together when it came to wanting to make sure I stay on top of things. One thing I learn that time management has been the successful key for me as a student here APU.

This is second semester soon to be a senior, it's nerve wrecking but exciting at the same time. Throughout my second semester I have grown in investigating the world and communicate ideas and grown my knowledge and College Career Readiness as a student. This semester has me stressed more than I have before, so stressed about AP exams and college readiness. My main focus in this semester is which college is best for me and what career I'm officially pursuing towards.

Thanks for writing back, I as well have been enjoying this so far. So lately I have been reading this book called “Fahrenheit 451”. I 've been very into this book. In soccer I play the forward position and I run the 800 meters for my track team. I also made both varsity teams my freshman and sophomore year.

Being halfway through my first semester of college it seems like graduation is so far away, but it is actually closer than anyone thinks. From the second you enter college everyone asks you what you want to do with your degree after you graduate. Trying to figure out what to do after college is always a difficult decision, whether it be to head out into the work force or continue on with our education. As of right now I am stuck on both ideas. I believe I would be happy going out into the workforce and starting my chemistry degree in a lab doing research, but I also think it would be fun to continue my education and go higher with my degree. Maybe even become a chemistry professor one day.

In my school, my learning has stalled. Learning is ineffectual unless I 'm challenged and engaged in solving a tough task, I no longer find that in my school. Everyday I go to class it feels as though I am simply going through the motions. I 've lost all motivation at school and, moreover, I am not challenged and, consequently, barely need to concentrate to find success. As a student and as a person I had found fulfillment in learning and have since lost that fulfillment I used to find. Many of my goals are based in education, it has been my dream to, eventually, be the namesake of a college that will advance world education even further. Knowledge is the most important aspect of my life. In my current school situation it feels like I 'm going through the motions day to day. I’ve applied to several different colleges which all seem to be good places where I can achieve my personal goals. The colleges that you choose to apply to should correspond to your deep personal goals which would lead to a more fulfilling college experience. By going to college I hope to gain the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life,to become well-educated in my path of studies ,to expand my knowledge of the world, to expand my comfort zone, and to become more proactive. Ultimately, college should be a time of internal exploration and be a life changing

What resonates with me and sets Bennington apart from other colleges is the FWT. It’s unheard of for a college to require their students to become invested in their careers long before they’ve begun, and within the fields they’ll be involved in for the rest of their lives. Because interning and working related to one’s career is only encouraged in college but not required, students overlook the importance of being actively involved with their futures from early on. Honestly speaking, I was of one of those students. I wouldn’t have been as open to doing as frequent and prolonged internships as Bennington requires, and this is mostly because balancing academics with my career hasn't come easy.

College degrees are an essential part of building a superior adult life. Thousands of career paths involve obtaining a college degree or higher, especially if you are expecting to make a large sum of money. A college degree will ensure that you are qualified for the job you wish to have; a college degree will also look more appropriate on resumes and applications even if that specific job does not depend upon a college degree.

My passion is dancing. When I dance, I feel confident and energetic throughout every move. Every Tuesday at The Dance Connection, I dance tap, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop. We learn a dance for each class every dance season, work on them from September to May, and then perform the dances in a recital. There is also a group at TDC that does competition dance where they compete against other dance teams. I am glad that I found this passion and I hope to stick with it for a long time.

I’m in search of the American dream. I have only worked in entry level positions and I feel like I can be more. An education will afford me the right to be seen as a respected professional. An education will help me foster the American dream. What is my American dream? I would argue that its everyone’s dream. I dream of a roof, a running car, a solid table with food, a wife and kids, a safe neighborhood, a stable job, and health. Happiness is what I’m in search for. Happiness is something you have to fight for and I’m up for the fight.

My dance experience trails back to when I was a freshman in high school, getting involved in some classes at my local dance studio. Immediately, I fell in love with this art form and knew I wanted to carry it with me beyond high school. I began dancing as a dance major at Mesa College in Fall 2017. While I am only just beginning to delve into my second semester, I can already say that I have expanded my knowledge of dance and dance technique at Mesa. In my dance classes, I have been able to improve upon my body placement and proper alignment. With the help of my instructors, I am able to work towards improving elements I have always struggled with, such as balance. Even outside of class, like auditioning for Mesa 's dance concert, I have found that the structure and organization of these auditions has helped prepare me for audition processes in the real world. Picking up and retaining choreography quickly is something I tend to struggle with, but these auditions give me the practice necessary to perform to my greatest ability and figure out methods to be on top of my game. Dance is like therapy to me, and after a long day of work or other classes, it feels comforting to have my dance classes as an outlet to express myself and exert my energy into something positive. On that same note, I have felt overwhelming support from my dance instructors at Mesa. There are times where I 've felt alone as a dance major, especially coming to college for the first time and realizing that
