I have always enjoyed the art of cosmetology because it helps bring out people's features, makes them feel more confident, and there's always different looks for everyone. I remember when I would get my hair done, being so intrigued by the art that came from it. How changing the color of someone's hair can change there whole look, or how a simple haircut can bring out certain face features. When I first started doing hair and makeup, I was not very good, but the more I kept practicing the better I got. On the other hand I have always been pretty good with doing hair. I have done varieties of things such as curled, straightened, dyed, and styled hair. Once I got good at doing both, people started asking me to do their hair and makeup for different occasions.
My grandmother is a cosmetology instructor. All of my life, I have watched her cut, color, and style family and friend’s hair. I have always had an interest in the beauty industry considering my grandmother 's work always looked so elegant and precise. As I became a sophomore in highschool, I finally decided on taking the cosmetology program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center, where my grandmother teaches at. This is my second year of cosmetology school.
so I thought it would be an excellent idea to apply because I won’t be too far from home or too far from my family. UCF captured my attention because they have Sports Medicine which is what I’ve always wanted to study so that I can be able to become a doctor for professional athletes. To be accepted into UCF’s Sports Medicine is one of my dreams because this university will help me gain knowledge and prepare me for the field I want to be part of. The softball team here influenced me to apply as they earned their first national ranking in

Becoming a Cosmetologist Cosmetology has a lot of downfalls to being successful. Having to complete 1,250 hours then testing for state boards. If state boards are passed, I’ll be a certified hairdresser. Planning on furthering education becomes stressful for example time managing and tons of expenses. I never thought I would have made it as far as I did at Clarion County Career Center.
Since the age of 14 I knew being a cosmetologist was what I wanted to do I have always been very passionate about beauty I have always enjoyed the feeling of doing someone's hair or nails one of my favorite things was watching my friends faces after I did a manicure and how they love the designs and them being so amazed at my great work. It is such a great feeling to make someone feel that way. I have had numerous people tell me a cosmetology is my calling. But I already knew that. I could sit here and go on and on about everything I love about cosmetology but that would be a very long essay. So I will go on to what my biggest achievement is I have many achievements but the one I am most proud of is my children. My babies make me want to be the best I can at everything I do. I have been
Every little girl plays with her mothers makeup. I used to watch my mother and sisters do their makeup every morning, and I would sit in front of a mirror and try to imitate their actions. As soon as I could walk, I was getting into their makeup. This continued for years until I bought my own materials to gain more experience and expand my creativity. I would use my imagination that makeup brought, and I would test different designs on my friends and family. It intrigued me that there was self expression in its own art form, and that I too could obtain these abilities one day. Even more so, I could make a career from my interests. I could share the skills that I learned from years experience, and I could enhance my client´s features. I believe
When I first graduated high school I thought I wanted to be a pilot to fly airplanes, so I signed up to attend classes at Kishwaukee College located in DeKalb. ECC helped me sing up for classes at an in district rate because Elgin could not offer the courses that I wanted to me. During the first semester I found out that I did not want to become a pilot anymore and that I would be happier if I changed and focused on computer science. The advisors helped me schedule classes back at ECC for computer science then next semester. During the last year and a half at ECC I have been able to start fulfilling my education goals by getting a good education and find out what I want to go to college for.

It would be amazing to meet new students and encourage them to attend not on The University of Alabama, but also make the Culverhouse College of Commerce their academic home. It is so important to invest in the lives of others, and you never know what impact you can have on a life. By simply being an ambassador, I have the ability to greatly impact someone’s future career. I struggled with choosing a major, and I understand how difficult of a process it can be. I am sure that if I toured Culverhouse initially it would have been my first choice.

I have worked so hard in school waiting for a moment like this. UNCW would be a great challenge for me, but it would also help me out immensely. UNCW has a excellent education program and that is exactly the field of study I aim to go into. I spent approximately half of my sophomore year at the early college tutoring at Dobson Elementary. I cherished every second helping my fifth grade class.
The career choice that I made and had caught my interest is in the dentistry field, practically in the orthodontic profession. Why the interest in this career choice you may want to inquire, is actually going in for visits as my child started the process for her braces. As I sat there watching the process happening, from the photographs taken of her mouth to the x-rays taken to be sent and the tools that were being used, just simply caught my attention. I thought to myself, “hmm this is something I could be good at”. And as the visits continued, I grew more fond as to what the orthodontic assistant was doing, how she was doing it and how the work was being proceeded with materials/tools.
