The company that our group choose is Berjaya Corporation Berhad (BCorp). Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun who is the founder of the BCorp, was founded in 1984 at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Vincent Tan Chee Yioun, who is one of the successful business man in Malaysia, although left school just at the age of 16 years old, but he never give up and had start his career. The first career that had begun was a bank clerk, and second business that launched by him is an insurance industry. In the 1970s, his company is set up a joint venture with Tokyo Marine & Fire Insurance. He has acquired to control the stake in Berjaya Industrial Berhad from the founder. After that the shareholding has change as result in major change in business, direction and become diversified conglomerate under flagship of Berjaya Corporation Berhad. There are many sectors that operate under the company, which including financial services, property investment, hotels and resorts, gaming and lottery management, food and beverage, and other businesses. (Thomson Reuters n.d.) The total amount of company’s employee strength is about 24,000. Besides that, the company is real estate developer and manage commercial buildings in Malaysia; the company have 17 hotels and resorts, 6 golf clubs, 1 equestrian club and operate vacation membership scheme. Another project that we can see done by the Berjaya is the Berjaya Times Square. This is one of the leisure and entertainment places that more than 675,000 square meters, and this Berjaya Times Square is the largest in Asia Pacific region. (St. James Press
