Introduction
Mr. Price started in Durban in an old Baumann's Biscuit warehouse in 1987. Mr. Price's main aim is to bring fashion at affordable prices, Mr. Price is a company dedicated to bringing in fashion in not only being affordable but fashionable and with outstanding quality. Mr. Price has the highest number in cash sales with a cash sale rate of 80%.
Mr. Price has one mission and that is to be a top performing international retailer. Their purpose is to insure that they add value and worth to their consumers' and partners lives. While they care for the communities and environments in which the company operates in.
There are three values that Mr. Price firmly believes in Passion, Value, and a Partnership.
Mr. Price believes that passion means normal people can do extraordinary things. Mr. Price's engine runs on passion and that passion comes from the people and associates that have a positive attitude and that they believe work is fun.

African American abolitionist William Howard Day was born October 16, 1825 in New York City. William was raised by his mother, Eliza and father John. Day mother Eliza was a founding member of the first AME Zion church and an abolitionist. Day father was a sail maker who fought in the War of 1812 and in Algiers, in 1815, and died when William was four. As a child William mother gave him away to a white ink manufacturer who advocated the abolitionist and temperance movement.

Although the British colonies settled in the Americas late, they quickly became a dominant force in the new world. There were many groups living in the United States between 1860 and 1900 and most of the groups we can categorize people into had very different viewpoints. Victoria Secret was profitable enough in their first year, for the company to open four more physical locations, as well as a mail order catalogue. Although Roy Raymond’s policy was initially profitable, but as we will discuss in the later parts of this paper, it also had its downsides that almost led to the bankruptcy of Victoria Secret. 4.4 Pricing Strategy For a number of reasons, price is one of the most important aspects of an effective marketing strategy (Gerstein & Friedman, 2015). First, price is the only marketing variable that generates revenue. Second, buyers see price as an attribute of value (Tanner & Raymond, n.d.). Consequently, an organization must carefully assess its internal and external environment to choose the most effective pricing objective, which—in turn—will drive a product’s initial pricing strategy.
Vision, Mission Statement "Price Leadership Drives Global Performance" is the Wal-Mart visualization statement. The management of Wal-Mart emphasises on price leadership in every market since pricing strategy is the direct approach to reach performance and attract customers. In order to implement price leadership, they stated "Save Money, Live Better", which remains as relevant now as it was in 1962 by Sam Walton. The mission is that everybody is able to purchase products in Wal-Mart because the stores offers low price products to them.

Prada is an international large sized firm that operates in 70 different countries around the world, with 551 directly operated stores (at 30 April 2014) . The company presents a total number of 11,518 direct employees and had net revenue equal to 3,587 million Euros in the end of January 2014 .

The company is one which believes that it should offer to its customers fashion and quality at the best price. The aim of this report is to assess H&M’s company organizational culture as well as the core competencies and capabilities of the company; and how it has used these to attain the position at which it is at today in the fashion and apparel industry.
Mr Price is known to be the best retail company that has a wide range of products sold in South Africa. They were established in 1885, they have been trading on the JSE since 1952. There are Mr Price stores located all around Africa, such as Botswana, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Namibia and of course in South Africa. The founders Laurie Chiappini and Stewart Cohen opened the very first Mr Price in 1985 in Durban.
