Synopsis
Company overview-
National Opticals, Delhi, was founded in February 1992 as a wholesale business to distribute the metal frames and sun glasses by Mr. Navneet Singh Bagga. In the beginning the business focused solely on distributing the goods from Indian factories. But with the new improved quality product availability from the makers in china National Opticals started importing the goods from china to distribute them in India to the retailers. The retailers would then take the products to the end customers.

NATIONAL OPTICAL CO. was established and started by Mr. Satinder Singh Bagga in 1968. The main idea was dealing in wholesale of Optical Frames and Sunglasses. Initial business by him was from factories in Gujarat, Bombay and Chennai. There were only few factories at that time. Gujarat was known for Acetate/Sheet frames and Bombay was known for metal frames. The quality of the goods was ranging from below par to average.
Around 1980 the business responsibilities were transferred to the elder son of Mr. Bagga, after 5 years in 1985 Mr. Navneet Singh Bagga came into Business joining his elder brother. That time NATIONAL OPTICAL CO. were still dealing with Gujarat and Bombay factories but now dealing in medium and little high quality optical frames and sunglasses. The low quality products were wholly discarded from the portfolio as the profit margins were very low. There were only few factories that time. Gujarat was known for Acetate/Sheet frames and Bombay was known for Metal frames. Quality was average and low.
The product quality changed by the time my father came into Business joining his elder brother in 1985.That time we were still dealing with Gujarat and Bombay factories but now dealing in medium and little high quality optical frames and sunglasses and we stopped dealing in low quality as margin was very low.
At that time we dint initiated making our own brands but we were selling high quality brands of Bombay factories.Like we were the distributors
