Magna Pistrinum is a bakery that aims to provide the middle and higher income group with quality baked goods. That being so, our customers are of utmost importance to us, their taste and preferences are our main priority in creating pastries of great variety. For us to even qualify to serve our goods to these customers, Magna Pistrinum must first and foremost:
- Ensure that our baked goods are of the best quality attainable in the baking industry.
- Inculcate in the employees the idea of innovation to constantly create new and out-of-the-norm kinds of pastries.

This is an important factor that we considered as we feel that a successful company should have motivated and passionate staff members. By having a high morale, staff members will feel more committed to projects. Not only do we want satisfied customers and a successful business, but we plan to have happy staff members who are led by a manager/managers that will not only leader creative ideas, but will also guide and apply concern for his fellow workers. For the most part, American bakeries seem to stick to two ends of a spectrum- they are either very fancy, or very casual. Many privately owned bakeries are very refined and couth, with elegantly displayed baked goods and a sophisticated feel, serving expensive and intricate creations. Otherwise, many bakeries are very relaxed and casual, serving less expensive, more “mom-and-pop” type sugary foods that amount to being the “comfort foods” of baked goods. Panadería Pahuatlán, in contrast, fit neither of these stereotypes. The bakery instead combined the two possibilities.
Some may say this is the least productive form of leadership. They don’t offer any type of guidance and the group members will be the ones making all the decisions. There is often a lack of motivation in the group and no clear defined role. The last form of leadership is the Participative or Democratic leadership. These types of leaders are usually the most effective because not only do they offer guidance, they also allow and encourage participation from the members.

Using SWOT analysis the following points are identified regarding Graeter’s strengths and weaknesses. (Pride, Hughes and Kapoor 2015 p. 163). The strengths that apply to Graeter’s are: Firstly, the French Pot method is not used by any other ice cream manufacturer making it unique to Gaeter’s. Secondly, Graeter’s are dedicated to product quality and have maintained very high standards in all areas of the business.
