Meridian High School looked very closely at students’ progress because not only learning difficulty can make a huge impact on how well they learn at school. Some students have a very low attendance which can be explained in many different ways. Some students in MHS are young carers which can make students in a position where it can be difficult to make expected progress. Without shared personal situation with school, professionals are unable to help. Sometimes it is a long process to make students respond for offering help.

Children who lived in the 19th Century with low education families and a lower quality of teacher training and social care system resulted in children not aiming for a good education as the lack of support from professionals children did not achieve good GCSE. (Anon, 2017).
The majority of ‘Looked After Children’ who would have experienced abuse will have a lower level of self-esteem and Growth Mindset.

The same problem is allocated in SEN children where it can be referred as behaviour problem as a result of social and emotional wellbeing. ((Agerholm, 2017))

In Meridian High School we are working with students from ASD Unit so their well being is also very important to the whole school.
Students with emotional difficulty are asked to complete forms which will help the teacher to support this student to manage their day without any restrictions.
On the other hand, lack of interest from children at school can very easily be excluded, transferred to a different school or even a special school.
In Meridian High School it is very important to provide good education for our students. Twice a year we have opportunities for students to learn the curriculum as well support our student’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural experience.
Some students in Meridian High School find it difficult to learn a subject in a classroom.
