Some students in MHS are young carers which can make students in a position where it can be difficult to make expected progress. Children who lived in the 19th Century with low education families and a lower quality of teacher training and social care system resulted in children not aiming for a good education as the lack of support from professionals children did not achieve good GCSE. (Anon, 2017).
The majority of ‘Looked After Children’ who would have experienced abuse will have a lower level of self-esteem and Growth Mindset.

The same problem is allocated in SEN children where it can be referred as behaviour problem as a result of social and emotional wellbeing. ((Agerholm, 2017))
In Meridian High School we are working with students from ASD Unit so their well being is also very important to the whole school.
Students with emotional difficulty are asked to complete forms which will help the teacher to support this student to manage their day without any restrictions.
On the other hand, lack of interest from children at school can very easily be excluded, transferred to a different school or even a special school.
In Meridian High School it is very important to provide good education for our students. Twice a year we have opportunities for students to learn the curriculum as well support our student’s spiritual, moral, social and cultural experience.

Throughout the summer many things had happened to Tessa; she had gotten a boyfriend, she started playing football, and had a strife with her mother. But most of all she had been able to play in football camp. The decisions that she had to make had conflicted with her friends and family members.

The local white school board showed harsh resistance, so the school's principal resorted to a new strategy. To create the school an eighth grade was added to Yanceyville Elementary. Teachers get to know their students very well. Since students in middle school are going through physical, social, and psychological development that could affect their academic performance, it is important to have teachers who really get to know their students. Every learner has different needs and teachers need to take into consideration the individual learning needs of students in order to help them succeed. Since the four teacher share the same students they are able to discuss the needs of their student in order to develop strategies and programs that may help the student. The School Attendance Review Board (SARB) is already working on addressing excessive school absences, which is often an issue with low-income students. SARB is a group consisting of administrators, counselors, and teachers who attempt interventions with the student and their families to ensure that minimum attendance requirements are met. This SARB program is only in place, however, at the middle school. The high school does have attendance requirements and consequences for excessive absences, but they do no have a program that involves families such as that of the middle school. If the high school adopted a program similar to the SARB, perhaps their graduation rates would improve.
