Some of the processes in the company are still done manually which are time consuming.
• Knowledge sharing is the best way to learn many things. The company should conduct Forum at least yearly once where the managers from different branches of Eaton should participate and share the experience. This provides a chance to come about each plant’s best practice.
• Leaders should be a well minded person with good qualities and to know how to handle the situation honestly. Therefore leaders are to be trained “how to follow the systematic approach towards the project”.
• Top management support is must in all the works that is taking place in the organization. Likewise it is need for the top management to listen to mentors and value their suggestion.
• There is a need to provide training for all employees in order to develop the “people’s culture” in both functional and behavioral aspect. This helps to reduce misbehavior of the employees.

NSU Razor's Edge Leadership Program My heart began to race. I entered the spacious lecture hall, opened the door, and before me were two hundred students glancing at me. Entering the class for the first time at Florida International University (FIU) presented unparalleled opportunities on my forthcoming journey as a high school junior. When I enrolled at FIU as a dual enrollment student, I experienced uncertainty in regard to my intended major and career choice. I took courses across multiple disciplines, yet I remained remote from the ideas presented – until I met my professor for General Chemistry during my junior year.
Accomplishments During my tenure with Con Edson, I have had the opportunity to work in different aspects of the company including Distribution Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Protective Systems Testing and Transmission Operations. I believe in order to be successful at work one must have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and be passionate about the work. These qualities have helped developed my interpersonal, leadership, technical, communication and analytical skills. I started working for Con Edison almost three years ago as an intern in Distribution Engineering with the Equipment group.

Foreword In December, 2001, Harvard Business Review devoted a special issue to the challenge of Breakthrough Leadership. It was this issue that inspired me to seek to better integrate my experience in psychology with my practice in Leadership Development. For me the challenge was to understand how leaders unlock the potential of the people that they lead by removing the barriers to their development. Breakthrough leadership was described as “breaking through old habits of thinking to uncover fresh solutions to perennial problems.

Introduction First of all , leadership is influence active process to achieve the objectives set its target of an organized group effort . In management is a team of individuals who engage in multiple activities aimed at achieving the goal of organization.(Drucker , 2007). Nursing management includes a high-quality care of a manager who fulfill these functions led by professionals: workload management, bed management, dealing with staff shortages, staff interviews and recruitment, staff appraisals, acting as staff advocate, budgeting, and ensuring resources are available.
When the team’s performance expectations are met, there should be rewards and recognitions so as to encourage them to continue their great performance. Nonetheless, since performance is link to remunerations, team members might feel competitive and hence resort to unethical ways in order to achieve their targets. Alternatively, attending leadership training to improve leadership skills and to upgrade the current skills can be done. With that, the manager will have the knowledge on how to communicate, guide and motivate his team to achieve their goals.
Leadership has been defined in a variety of ways, there are multiple authors and theorists who have tried to define and understand leadership, all leading to varying theories and conclusions, but one thing that is universally understood is the importance of effective leadership and how someone with good leadership skills can impact so many people around them. (Kakabadse and Kakabadse, 1999; Yukl, 2002; Northouse,2013) The main components that have been identified to play a role in leadership are relations between leader and subordinates, interaction form between leader and followers, the influence that the leader has, the way in which the leader behaves and finally a leader’s traits. (Yukl, 2002) These elements that make up a leader, are then used as building blocks to identify the way in which each specific leader deals with its followers.
A leader needs to take a steady approach on applying these competencies in an effective
Module 8: Leadership Model MGT 560: Leadership Development Colorado State University-Global Campus Professor: Tom Woodruff May 03, 2015 : Introduction The Case Study, The Food Terminal (A) has been considered to offer the Model adapted from Montgomery, Copley, and Associates (1996) as a solution for the issues arising out of the case study. A professional situation experienced by me has been considered too and the model employed while I was working as a Manager. Heart Mike mentioned that he was initially nervous while getting the responsibilities and was asked to meet the department managers, and that he could see the look of disappointment in their eyes. He had the heart to share that most of these managers
It is the study of successful organizational change and performance. More recently, work on OD has expanded to focus on aligning organizations with their rapidly changing and complex environments through organizational learning, knowledge management and transformation of organizational norms and values. (Wikipedia) Objectives of OD: 1. Making individuals in the organization aware of the vision of the organization. Organizational development helps in making employees align with the vision of the organization.
It is highly important the team leaders are trained keeping these issues in mind. It is necessary to bear in mind that “one size does not fit all” hence it is important for leaders to have a situational approach as mentioned in the discussions . To be trained well enough to know the situations in which they can establish participative style behaviours and situations where they can establish their authoritative behaviours. Hecnce making the team more effective with the employees of different
Leadership: Definition Leadership is the process of influencing the motive of the employees and so directing, guiding them to the proper completion of the short-term goals and the mission, vision of the firm. Leadership referring to achieve a specific set of goals of the business enterprise by minimizing risk and more advantage of opportunities is also called Entrepreneurial Leadership (Rao, 2015). Today leadership is such an iterative process when the leaders should have a variety of qualities and expertise in different area of management. Here, different theories will be explained which can clearly identify the scope, the responsibilities and the area of expertise required to be successful leader.
‘Organizations provide its managers with legitimate authority to lead, but there is no assurance that they will be able to lead effectively’ (Lunenburg, 2011). Organizational success usually requires a combination of both management and leadership. In today’s dynamic work environment, leaders are expected to challenge the present state of affairs, and to motivate and convince organization members. Managers are needed to assist in creating and maintaining a positive and well-functioning workplace. ‘Leadership and management are often considered practically overlapping concepts’ (Bohoris and Vorria, 2007, p. 1).
