Both women were Civil Rights activist, members of the NAACP, and known to be white. However, it came down to an end where both was exposed to be African American, but Rachel faced racial identity with media and crimes. Back to the point, I chose Denzel Washington for the director of this movie because he played a former Negro league baseball player in the movie Fences and his background history with inspirational and motivational African American movies. Also, Thandie Newton was a good choice for the role of Effa Manley due to her role in The Pursuit of Happiness and Good Deeds. Her skin tone is not as light as Ms. Manley, but she was the closest choice I had other than Rashida Jones.
It is stated that Murray was one of the first women who argued “women’s capacity to reason.” Murray argued for the same men and women educational facilities, inaugurating change within the socialization. Murray also joined reformations with other women against the reconstruction of gender equality. Galewski’s close reading of Murray’s text reveals two types of irony used within, romantic and dialectical. The ironies coordinate within each other in the text which makes the argument more persuasive. However, Murray’s argument successfully conveys women’s mental potential.
According to (Schmalleger & Smykia, 2015, p. 377), “One early state case, Barefield v. Leach (1974), demonstrated that the opportunities and programs for female inmates were clearly inferior to those for male inmates.” Women knew that going directly to courts would allow them to get the rights that they deserve. “On the heels of the civil rights movement, women wanted guarantees of equal opportunities in school and career, as well as equal pay for equal work. But opponents thought the amendment was unnecessary- and even dangerous” (Davey, 2012). Since I’ve been around, I have been able to apply for jobs that I was interested in, so I could only imagine living in a time where I couldn’t. Also, less pay because I’m a woman sounds unfair also.
All of this to say, the struggles these women endeavored made it possible for the women in modern society to be regarded as sagacious and independent. Women such as Jane Addams and Margaret Sanger were the passionate and determined advocators that realized what it meant to persist equality. Moreover, such activists saw African Americans gain their freedom with the thirteenth and fifteenth amendments; thus, sparking a flame of feminism. It was these women who apprehended equality will never be easily obtained, and yet they fought obstinately. The nineteenth amendment might not have been welcomed nor efficient soon after; however, without it, women would not have traveled to space, hold government positions, nor demonstrated to young girls that they have a bright future as a woman.

In becoming a forensic engineer, you will have to obtain a degree in engineering and then find a concentration close enough to mechanical, civil, chemical, or computer engineer. Once graduated, it is best to get as much experience, whether it is an internship or a job in engineering. Once one has gained experience, the state should be contacted on what exam is relevant to your sub specialty. The state examination has to be completed before you go to the step of contacting the international institute of Forensic Science (IIFES) (Forensic 2010). The IIFES has a program that is required to attend and then the state may have further requirements that require for licensing.
In her thought provoking essay “In History,” author Jamaica Kincaid explores the idea of naming things in a historical context through various anecdotes. Kincaid makes a purposeful choice to tell her story non chronologically, beginning with the tale of Columbus, putting her own reflection on plant nomenclature in the middle, and ending with an overview of Carl Linnaeus, the inventor of the plant naming system. This choice gives Kincaid the opportunity to fully vet out each point that she makes, an opportunity she wouldn’t have gotten had she written her essay in chronological order. Throughout each anecdote that Kincaid tells, the theme of names and giving things names is central. Kincaid argues that by giving something a name, one unrightfully takes ownership of it and erases its history.

How does the Supreme Court control its docket? Using information from both the textbook and class lecture, discuss the main steps/hurdles/factors in play regarding whether the Supreme Court will actually hear and consider a case. Explain and discuss the significance of each factor. The way in which the Supreme Court controls its docket allows for the court to avoid pointless work. The Court controls their docket via “screening mechanisms.” (Notes) The things they look for are whether or not it is a legitimate case, the cases must be fairly new, both parties must have standing, Appeals must all have their paperwork and fees done on time, and the writ of certiorari.
Our textbook defines social construction as, "an entity that exists because people behave as if it exists and whose existence is perpetuated as people and social institutions act in accordance with the widely agreed-upon formal rules or informal norms of behavior associated with that entity," (Conley A-11). This is stating that the only reason race exists is because society acts like it does. It begs consideration what society you be like if we treated people based on their hair color instead of their skin color. Racism only exists, after all, because society decided to place worth based on someone 's origins. Sociologists argue to those who believe race is a myth that if it is indeed, that further gives stock to race being a social construction.
Support service must be provided through the developer or supplier of the technological product. Alternatively, monitoring and other support services for the new technology can be outsourced to a tech center that services the system.
