It normally starts with desire and a sexual stimulus that is perceived positively. Such stimuli can even be imaginary like masturbating. Sexual fantasy is a vital part of humans’ lives. Psychological factors can not only stimulate sexual arousal but also inhibit it. A person may be engaged in sexual activity and then become turned off by something a partner does. Other people desire sex but have difficulty becoming or staying aroused. Temporary arousal problems can be leaded by stress, fatigue, and anger. Sexual dysfunction refers to a long time of period, impaired sexual functioning that makes a person feel distressed. There are many reasons such as injuries, diseases, and drug effectsm but some causes are psychological.
